Christmas Ideas for a 21 Month Old Girl.

Our daughter is 22 months old and really into Dora, so I bought her a couple of Mega bloks items w/Dora on them. Also got her a Leap Frog talking phone (she has a few phones already, including the VTech Winnie the Pooh phone which she loves), a set of My Little Pony board books at Borders for $5.99, and I found this great keyboard shaped like a cat from Target. I also got her a play cooking set and a set of fake veggies and fruit from Ross. She already has a shopping cart. One of her favorite toys is her Fisher Price vacuum. She loves phones and anything electronic (just like big brother!). Our daughter doesn't like baby dolls, but she does like stuffed animals. As for the stuff that looks like she's not ready for it...you might be surprised. Both of ours have toys that I thought the same thing about, and they were fine, or other things that were age appropriate that they were bored to tears with. At this age I take our daughter into Target or Walmart and see what toys she's drawn to. That has worked relatively well with both of ours, but isn't a 100% accurate regarding what they will play with. We have lots of toys they play with now that they didn't play with 6 months ago when they got them. I always look on Target and Walmart's websites, then check for the same stuff on Amazon because I've gotten some stuff much cheaper on Amazon. Good luck and happy shopping!

They have those sing along books that are great, and educational. Or they have new crayola color wonders too that look pretty fun. They are age appropriate and fun for them. They also have the wonder markers, that run on water and dont color on anything but the paper that comes with, so its great for the child and great for the parents too because no mess!

Crayola begginings has a thing called scribble me a song. You put your paper on it and when you color, it plays music to go with the tempo of your coloring. My daughter got one at 26 months and still loves it. You could also do wooden puzzles. Target and Mellisa and Doug.com have really cool ones. A toddler dollhouse would be fun too.
NickJr.com has these Yo Gabba Gabba bath toys that stick to the tile. The reviews on them are great! And they're only $11.
You can never go wrong with board books or a magnadoodle either.

My daughter just turned two, she loves mega blocks (they are a lot easier for her to use than duplo, but recently she has gotten good with both, one set is at her grandmas), tea set and oven with cooking supplies. baby dolls and their stroller, drawing with (washable) markers. stickers (ones that don't have the surrounding sticky are easier for her to get off, but If they have it i just take it off first). Books, books and more books, we love to read. Big things
she loves: toddler size table for activities/drawing/playing and the Easel, and the play oven.
