I am looking for a creative idea for a Christmas Present for my boss. He is married with two boys (12 and 13). I am looking for something for the family to enjoy. I was planning to spend about $100. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

What about a family pass to such paces as a museum or the zoo. Or a gift card for the movie rental place nearest to work or home. I don't know how cloe that would be to Cincnnati, Dayton, Columbus or Clevelnd but they all have great Zoos. day at the Childrens Museum in Indy would be good too but only if they were willing to drive. Can you get movie psses for the theatre?

Does he have a digital picture frame? That would be cool to have if he has an office for his family pics.

For a dad of 2 tween boys, I would get camping gear. Or a gift certificate for a rafting outing or some other bonding adventure.
But my boss is in his early 60s. We, as an office chip in, so, here are the things we have bought him over the last few years...
last Christmas - an engraved ZIppo and Money Clip wallet. He loved it. Bought at Things Remembered. We ordered online and picked up in store.
Bday - 2 Zero gravity lawn chairs from Costco - he and his wife love them.
previous Christmas - We had a football jersey with his name on the back specially made and we all autographed it. We mounted it in a shadow box from Hobby Lobby and he hung it in the lobby - he refers to us as his team, so he loves it.
Year before that - an outside heater for his pool so he could sit outside in the fall. He still uses it, so I guess he liked that one too.
We always get his wife Christmas dishes or special ornaments or pretty glassware.
This year I am leaning toward a Martin Birdhouse. I hear they are really cool, becasue Martins dive like bombers. So, Maybe they can sit in thier zero gravity chairs by thier outside heater and watch the birds!

How about tickets for an event or an outing that he can attend with his boys. I don't know what's available in your area or what he's interest are, but I'm sure you can find something (paintball, science museum, etc)

Love Aleisha's idea of the gift basket...and you can do all kinds of different themes besides the movie one. You can do cookie making basket so they can do their own xmas cookies, or xmas breakfast basket.

Since his boys are 12 and 13, they probably have a lot of these board games already..but in keeping with the "A way to a man's heart is through his stomach". Not that you are trying to get into this guy's heart, but you can never go wrong with food!

Love the idea of a family membership to somewhere--like a museum, water park, science center, etc.

My family loves games like table Talk (http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?pf_id=40476)

Also Kid's talk and That's Right, That's Wrong; you can get both on Amazon.

These are good games to get kids talking. Just a thought if you do the gift basket. But I really like the event and membership ideas too!

Business etiquette “rules” do not require you to give a gift to your boss for any occasion. In fact, giving an inappropriate gift to your boss could make your boss feel uncomfortable, alienate co-workers, or even appear as if you are trying to “buy” your way into your boss’ good graces. What does the family like to do? camp, sports, or???? Try to key off that, and get something related to their interests.

Board games are good too, especially if you can find out which ones they don't have. Tickets to a sporting event or a concert, perhaps?

Zoo/museum membership also sounds good.

Do they have a favorite restaurant? Gift certif. for that.

Can you get a small grill/hibachi for that, if they like to cook out?

Passes to an indoor water park? good for getting rid of winter doldrums.

good luck!

Discovery Toys has lots of great family games that help build close relationships for families especially important I think for boys at that age. 80% of the line is exclusive so very unique products! I love Labyrinth...a moving maze full of fun; Wiz Kidz..categories and letters lead to laughter and great for on the go; Tactico...simple strategy and yet not to simple; Lots more...check out www.toyladyjanet.com or contact me with questions.
