Class Group Photos: Need Organizational Ideas

I need a class group photo organization plan. The box method isn't working for me anymore. I am not particularly crafty although I am not opposed to simple solutions. I did just a very brief look for a large photo album to purchase to compile all of my children's class group photos in one location. All I found was those peel back sticky "magnetic" pages. Is it time to explore the world of scrapbooking? I don't know if I have the time and/or dedication to such a project.

What do you do with your children's class group photos? Do you have particular types of photo albums/products that you use to store these photos? I'd love to hear what you do. I see another set of pictures being added to the growing pile very soon. HELP!!

I don't know if you are familiar with the "Southern Living at home"parties (If you are unfamiliar with them - these parties are hosted like a Tupperware or Pampered Chef party but I'm sure you can order directly from their catalog) About 4 years ago, these parties were running rampant through my neighborhood. They have beautiful stuff, as you see in the catalog.

One item that I have always loved is their "school album" memory book. It is sooo cool. It's just for the purpose that you describe - there's a place for the school class picture and others and an envelope for any report cards, etc... I noticed that since the time that I have ordered, they now have an "artwork memory" album as well as a "birthday" album. Just check out page 69. They are a very nice keepsake and not outrageously priced.

Just click onto the link, then click the cover of the magazine and, at the top, turn the pages.

If you have the opportunity to host a party, it really was amazing all the wonderful stuff that I was able to get for free and cheap, without a huge order and very little work on my part (i.e. gathering place in your home, a few appetizers and beverages - alcoholic or not, provide your demonstrator with the addresses and set a party date.) Love their stuff!

At the very least, this catalog has lovely decorating ideas!

Good luck.

Hi! My Mom made a separate "school" photo album for me, using the peel-back, sticky-page photo album. She would snap a photo of me on the first day of school, then include my class photo, and finally include my last report card of the year. As an adult, it's nice to have all the school photos together in one place.

My kids aren't in school yet, but I am already putting an album together with each year's Christmas Card photo. I hope that my children really love looking at it someday -- sort of a time capsule. I wish I had more time to do ornate scrapbooks, but the sticky page albums are fine!

I do a scrapbook with their school photos and I put those class photos right in the scrapbook on their own page.
