Hi,
I'm trying to sell a condo and was wondering if anyone know of a good Spanish paper I could advertise real estate in... I found "La Subasta" online. Do you know of any others? If you are familiar with La Subasta, is it pretty popular? I'm not familiar with it. Also, if you know of any other classifieds (in Spanish) in the Richmond Ave/Fondren area, that would be great too. I have advertised on craigslist but don't know of any other large sites besides Houston Chronicle and Greensheet. I've been having such bad luck with realtors giving me the time of day. I really don't know why. I've tried being easy-going, assertive, laid-back, always mannered, and just about anything to be a "good" seller. It just seems that my husband and I are finding not so good realtors. We've had one who got fired from her broker and didn't tell us, another who cheated us by bringing buyers that we referred to him to his other (more expensive) properties and said that our condo was sold. He got very emotional with me when I approached him with my knowledge of his actions. Our current realtor does not respond to my email. I have to ask him many times to change incorrect info/pictures on the mls, and also he's not really motivated or creative. We have renovated this condo and it is inexpensive, but is pretty nice. Maybe realtors are not so motivated by the commission they're going to receive. I don't know. Anyways, I've taken upon myself to be a little creative to try to sell this place. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I just wanted to say that I know of a Spanish/English realtor that my husband works closely with. I am sure that he can help you out if you would like. And if a realtor does not respond to you move on to the next there are many more like our realtor that will get the job done.

A. SAHM with a little boy too. I think we might be putting our house on the market soon too.

Just some ideas... have an open house and post it in the papers too and also I don't know but here there is a Mexican radio station where you can advertise. A shout out!!! Also try a church's bulletin or at some hair cut places they have a place to advertise. Word of mouth too, talk to your family, freinds, people you just meet, and everyone. Hope this helps,
Leti

If you'd be willing to share the MLS information, I've got investor connections - perhaps they'd be interested. Not to mention, maybe someone on here would have more interest given more information.

As for realitors, it's hit or miss. My close friends mom is my realitor and if I didn't know all that she had going on in her life, I'd be frustrated by her and how long it takes to get a response sometimes. This time of year is the end of the slow season. Come spring, things SHOULD pick-up.

Good luck.
