On the theory that pee is pee, I bought some pet stain remover to have on hand for when Isaac gets his diaper off....
We are in the midst of potty training and dealing with accidents... My son is having difficulty registering when he needs to go! I was wondering what some of you have tried to help with this process, and what you did to clean up the messes he leaves behind. I'm not sure how to go about cleaning a chair pad he peed through, in addition to peeing on his shoes! Please advise.. Thanks!

Boiling water takes out almost anything, it even worked on grape juice on our carpet. Of course, try to get up as much of the wetness with dry towels first. Febreeze helps with the smell as well or leaving it out in the sun.
You didn't mention if the chair pad was washable? If so washing with regular soap and warm water should take out the smell. No matter why type of shoes he has, good old fashioned soap and water on the outside and baking soda on the inside should help immensely.
I toss my kids' shoes in the washing machine all the time for stuff like that.
You may want to invest in a good carpet cleaner if you don't have one already. We use ours a ton and recently lent it out to friends who now want one of their own.
I'm not sure what to tell you about the chair pad without knowing more about it, but you can use soap and water on most things, or maybe get some upholstery cleaner.
