What can I give my 1 year old for her wet cough and runny nose and congestion issues? I have done the whole vicks vapor and humidifier thing and nothing seems to be helping. She is up most of the night coughing. I so saline drops and suction but you can tell she is still in so much discomfort. My clinic is closed today so I can ask my pedetrician anything. Please help!
I am all about asking a pharmacist. To me they're right up there with input from a doctor. Not sure how long this has been going on but I'd take her in tomorrow but get her some relief today...sorry she's so sick...
It has been awhile since my kids were young so I'm not sure what is safe for a one year old. I would ask your nearest drugstore pharmacist they are usually pretty helpful.
Try a warm bath with Johnson and Johnson Soothing vapors. It's almost like Vicks for the tub but smells a lot better. It's worked for us when our daughter has had a cold. As far as medicine goes your daughter is too young for anything except ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Hope your little one feels better soon!
There's not a whole lot you can do for her beyond what you already mentioned - just lots of cuddles. I know it's awful but sometimes these things have to run their course. She'll be back to normal before you know it!
