I worked as an evaluator for over ten years evaluating foreign credentials. Your employer may request to have your foreign studies evaluated to make sure you are qualified (academically) for the job. For example, the job may requires a bachelor's degree and you need to have an equivalent of a bachelor's degree from another country.

You would have to get your credential evaluated and most of the time the potential employees have to pay for the service.

Email me if you have any questions.

As long as it is a reputable university. I have hired international candidates in the past. I always research the university, the details of the degree plan, etc. I also confer with colleagues or associates from the country in question to get a feel for the rigor required for the degree.

Would it work here in the USA? Well, for what purpose?
Applying for a job?
Applying to a University?
Applying for what?

It depends what you need it for. For a job, most likely you won't have to do anything.
To go back to school for more education you will need to get it translated and evaluated. You will have to contact the university you want to apply to, each has their own admissions requirements and what they want done with international degrees.
If it's a field that requires additional licensing (for example fields like nursing or medicine) you will have to contact your licensing board to find out if your degree meet licensing requirements and you will likely have to take an additional licensing exam.
Good luck.

You can get degrees translated. If you are looking to get credit for it at an American college you can ask the specific college who they use to tranlate foreign transcripts. I know of two organisations that colleges in Michigan use but different colleges use different organisations.
If it is for work purposes then you may be able to just get them translated with who ever you choose.
I know of the North American Educational Group (NAEG) and World Education Services (WES). WES are a non-profit oragnisation that specializes in foreign credential evaluation.
They both charge for the evaluation. How much depends on how in-depth you want the evaluation to be.

It would depend on your field of study and the university you attended and what type of job you want to find here. So more info is needed! Good luck.
