My daughter graduates in a few weeks from college and we can not figure out what to get her. I am already passing down a diamond ring that my grandmother gave me when I graduated, but I wanted something else to give her. I am hoping ya'll have some ideas. Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I want to thank everyone for the wonderful ideas. Of course my daughter wasn't any help and she didn't like any of my suggestions, so I think I might get her a nice diploma frame for starters.

Thanks again moms!

Get her a Dave Ramsey book to protect her against all those dumb credit card offers they tempt the college kids with and end up in mountain of debt before the age of 25. Seriously.....best gift you could ever give her is to teach her to to spend her money and how to save it.......

I got the two of my children that have graduated, so far, the incredible engraved frame for their diplomas-sold at the student book store(which may be a Barnes and Noble-depending on where they attend school) and-they were taken out to pricey , fabulous dinners! They deserved it!

does she have a job lined up yet? you might htink of getting her a nice portfolio to take to her interviews. if she's moving out on her own (don't know her living situation atm) you could get her some things for her new apartment. or even a spa day to help her relax after 4 grueling years in college. those are just a few things i'd enjoy when i graduate.

My parents bought me a laptop when I graduated, if she doesn't already have one. An IPad 2 would be pretty cool!

How about a fun trip somewhere not too expensive for her and a friend? Or something that pertains to what she will be doing next now that she has graduated. Why not ask her what she would like most.

My dad is sending my daughter to Europe again. I am getting her a scooter, like a Vespa or something of the like. She is totally freaking out about gas prices.

My family purchased a beautiful cedar hope chest. I love it...it's been over 20 years and it is still a great piece in my house...

What about a piece of furniture or set of dishes/china to put in her apartment. A nice one that will last for years and she will remember that you gave it to her.

Cash_Twins...LOVE your suggestion!

She has worked really hard and graduating from college is so awesome. So before she gets out in that real world and has to become a real adult. If you can afford it, send her on a cruise, let her relax. Or a nice day at the spa, pedicure, manicure, massage. A whole day of pampering with mom. Just you girls would be cool also.

Oh and by the way, the diamond ring is awesome. My grandmother gave me my great-grandmothers first wedding ring. I love it and wear it all the time and cant wait for the day to give it to one of my girls.
