I am starting a MOMS Club in the Denham Springs and surrounding areas. The MOMS club is a support group just for you, the mother-at-home of today, interested in the world around you, wanting a variety of activities for you and your children, and proud of your choice of at-home mothering for your family.
The MOMS Club (MOMS offering Moms Support) is an International nonprofit organization specifically for at-home mothers everywhere! We help you feel good about your decision to stay home with your children and give you the opportunity to share activities with other at-home mothers and their children!
Local MOMS Club chapters have meeting with interesting speakers and discussions, park play-days, play-groups for preschool children, babysitting coops, activity groups like arts ‘n crafts, and a monthly MOMS Night Out (activity groups change according to members’ interests). We also perform service projects to help needy children in our community!
Our chapters meet during the day because that’s when mothers-at-home need the support and we allow mothers to bring their children with them to our activities!

I know that your request is very old. I moved here in June from Springfield, MO. I was part of a MOMs Club there. I liked it because playgroups were divided between ages and some not. That helped with finding moms that were at the same level as myself. I also liked that they did charity work. Did this work out for you starting this? I didn't see that there was a MOMS Club when looking here before.
I know I'm a little late, but I was wondering if anything came from this. I just had a baby boy at the beginning of May, so he's just over a month old. But I'm looking for some mommy groups! I'd love some info!!!!

What a great idea!! I'm orginally from IN and moved here when I married my husband(born and raised in Baton Rouge). I've found it difficult to meet new people as well. We are the proud parents of 13 mo old Emily and are expecting our second--just found out it's a boy--September 2nd.
