Help!!! Looking at Britax, told they are best. Possible problems with Boulevard, was told head falls forward with side panels and Marathon strap is too short on bottom. Does anyone have experience with either one, as well as Roundabout 50 which is like the Marathon with out seat attachement latch. Want a seat that is comfortable for sleeping for baby boy on all day trips. Thanks in advance for your help.

Check out the Recaro - i have two. one for my 3 yr old and one for my 16 month old and i have been very very happy.
Recaro is rated better than britax and not nearly as bulky
good luck :)

Hi! We have the Britax Roundabout and it is okay. I think I do minimum traveling with him in the car for NJ mom. I still think I am a Manhattanite so I try to walk everywhere where I can with my baby.

I did a LOT of research into this. For the Combo Seats, which are the ones that can go rear-facing and then front facing as they get older, according to the NHTSA ratings (National Highway Safety Admin) and previous Mamasource advice, I found these to be the top 3:

1. Recaro Como ($150-$250) - 35 lbs rear facing, 70 lbs front facing, 50" height limit

2. Evenflo Triumph Advance ($130-$160)- 35 lbs rf, 50 lbs ff, 50"

3. Britax Roundabout ($280-$310) - 33 lbs rf, 40 lbs ff, 40" --- Britax Marathon rated high also.

* I actually bought a Recaro Como. I liked it because it was rated slightly safer and cost slightly less than the Britax, but mainly because my daughter seemed most comfortable in it. I found all of these models are carried by either Schneiders on West 25th, or Babies R Us at Union square, so they are just a few blocks from each other. So, you can just bring your baby along and try them all out to see what works best for him...good luck!
