Terrible. I hate Charter. Do yourself a favor and get a dish.

Horrible. When I first moved to Mansfield that was the only thing available. Picture quality sucks. Customer servers sucks. Becareful The first month I waited and waited for the first bill. I finally got a late notice..??? I called them up and They took the late charges off the first time which I was ok. The second month same thing happen talk to the rep again they wouldn't budge on the late fee talk to several people, finally had to go to the main desk, what a drive, not knowing my away around yet. Well she finally said oh it looks like you put it on paperless, which I would never do because I like the paper for documentation, and said I had to do it so I had to pay the late charge anyways. I have 3 strikes rule and your out rule I follow. And it happen again, this time At&t finally arrived. I've notice my whole community had a At&t truck in front of there house during that first month. Talken to my neighbors they had the same problem with charter. Interent was always off and slow picture was worse than having bunny ears.

Sorry its so long. Good Luck on what you decided.

I have charter...
the service is okay, not like the horror stories I have from Time Warrner! lol
what aggrivates me though is that I have a vonage phone and they cant stand it, yesterday I called in to see what my monthly rate is since they added basic cable to my package (they did this to keep me as a cust. for the same price, because I just lost my 19.99 promo for internet then it went to 59.99! I was upset and said forget it, I'd get dial up) so anyhow they said they would add the basic tv cable no extra charge... okay hubby is happy with that. But for 2 months the bill has been incorrect 60 for net and 60 for tv aarrrggg so they fixed that yesterday and according to them it will be reflected on my next bill. and now they are offering to add my phone service for 64.99 total a month... I though that would be good but they couldnt port my vonage # from Dallas to Mansfield. so oh well, good luck
like I said they are okay
although I would talk to them as little as possible :)

I live in University Park and Charter is the only cable provider here. We have digital cable and have had no problems with picture (Bravo Channel quality isn't great, but don't know if that's Charter's problem), and only rare instances of cable being out for a short period of time. However, after a few years one of the remote controls broke (probably dropped one too many times!). There used to be an office within 5 miles, but now the nearest one is in Valley Ranch. They could not just ship a new remote control; we had to schedule service to come deliver one and wait at home for him to arrive. Fortunately, he said he works our area and left his card so we could call him directly any time there's a problem. So far we have not had to do that. I will say that people I know who have satellite have a problem almost every time there is bad weather. We do not have that problem with Charter.
