B.A.
Hi J.,
I can't give advice on conceiving with one fallopian tube, but I wanted to write to tell you to keep faith.
If you have one functioning fallopian tube and that is your only issue, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get pregnant. It may be a little harder or take a little longer, but it shouldn't keep you from being able to get pregnant.
My fertility issue was poor egg quality and quantity and the doctors only gave me a 1% chance of getting pregnant, but I did get pregnant (I am 29 weeks now).
Even though you may not have an egg quality issue, you will want to maximize you chance of getting pregnant each month by helping your body to produce the healthiest egg possible (and maybe even multiple eggs). There are things that can truly help with this (naturally).
I did acupuncture and herbs. (I had a very good acupuncturist who specialized in fertility issues. She is also an herbalist.) I ate as healthfully as I could, getting as many fresh fruits and vegetables as possible into my diet and cutting out refined foods (especially sugar).
I did a lot of research and found supplements that could help me specifically with my personal imbalances. I took Maca, CoQ10, Bee Pollen/Royal Jelly, Spirulina, a good prenatal vitamin and Omega 3.
These were the supplements to help me. You may need others. A good Acupuncturist or Naturopath that has experience with fertility issues can help. If you are up for trying to educate yourself, look for good sources of information. There are some on the internet, but you have to be careful. There is also a lot of misinformation on the internet. I found the book, The infertility Cure by Radine Lewis very helpful.
Meditation, relaxation techniques, visualization, Qi Gong, and Yoga are also great things to do. You don't have to do all of them, just pick the ones you might keep up with regularly. I used Qi Gong exercises that I found on Youtube and also found things in books from the library, so you don't have to spend money taking classes.
I did fertility treatments for about 6 months before I stopped and did only the herbs and acupuncture. The fertility treatments did not work for me, but that doesn't mean that they might not work for you. If you want to keep trying with that, acupuncture can really help your body to respond better to the treatments, however, you cannot do the herbs if you are taking fertility medications.
I wish you the very best of luck in trying to get pregnant. Please feel free to contact me if I can give you any other information.
All the Best, B.

Some of her services can be very expensive, but her free newsletter is very helpful and she has some free and some inexpensive meditations available from her site. She also has some new options for inexpensive consults with her.
