The iPhone, takes GREAT photos and video.
It is awesome.
VERY user friendly. My KIDS can use it too.
VERY easy.
Worth the cost.
iPhones, can do anything.
Okay, so when I go to school events I see most of the parents with this type of phone (or maybe a similar phone?) and they're using it to take pictures. It looks so convient and easy to carry. On the otherhand, my digital camera is a pain as it will not work if the batteries are dead. Today I took my daugther on her first K field trip and of cousre I forgot to pack the extra batteries and wouldn't you knowit the batteries currently in the camera died after two pictures. I'm so upset as I just put fresh lithium batteries in the last time I used it and only snapped a couple of pictures then. I'm also ready for a new cell phone as I've had my current one for about 4 yrs.
So my questions in regards to the iPhone are:
Do the pictures come out well?
Do they come with a memory/SD card slot?
How do they compare to a digital camera (like a kodak easyshare type camera)
Are they as user friendly as they look?
What about cost?
Any other great features?
Thanks

Yes, the pics come out very well as long as you hold your hand still :) They are not the same as a high quality digital camera but I feel that the pics it takes are at least as good if not better than the cheaper digital cameras that my M. and MIL have
ETA - I was a total anti-smart phone person and couldn't believe that I would use my Iphone as much as everyone said I would but I really do. I think it is totally worth the money even though I was sick to my stomach for 2 days after spending 230 on a freaking phone lol
I use my iPhone for most of my pics :) my profile pic is off my iPhone in fact. I love the quality and you can get some cool apps to edit pics as well. Mine is the more expensive one. But it's worth it
I love my iPhone and they take really good pictures and video. But since the screen is big and it's really bright the battery dies really quick if you on it for a long time. But it is a really great phone. It doesn't take an sd card. It holds a lot of pictures and video. You just plug the wore from the phone to the computer and upload them. It's pretty easy. It depends if you get a new phone or and older phone. New ones cost $300 something if you have a plan and 600 something if you don't have a plan. I have a plan so I think 300 dollars is worth it.
I take every pic w my iphone and post them all on facebook they come out so clear i love it i didnt even take my camera with us on my last vacation i just used my phone
yes most of the pictures come out pretty well! i barely use my digi camera anymore..it's all on the iphone. i don't see a slot for an sd card...but you can use a usb cord and hook it to the computer to get the pics/ videos off there to save. very user friendly. i bought mine used off my friend for 100 (3g) so im not sure how much they retail for..
I've taken amazingly good photos and videos with my iPhone! Love it!
I am very pleased with my iphone pics...I lug my camera around with me far less often now. There is no flash so there are still situations where I take my camera, but the iphone pics are high enough resolution to print nicely.
I love my iphone. I think it takes great pictures and video. It is so much easier then a regular camera. You just plug it into your computer and download the pictures or you can share them right away via facebook or the web.
My "purse" is actually my camera bag.
I'm not saving for a new car, I'm saving for a new camera (nearly the same price).
I take photos (and video) with my iPhone ALL the time. Both with the stock software and with Hipstamatic. I LOVE so so so many of the photos I have from my phone.
I actually have the same question being that I am in need of a phone.
Love my iphone photo's and I get compliments on them all the time.
I use the camera + app.
