I would like advice regarding breast augmentation. After the birth and subsequent nursing of my 2 kids, my chest has virtually ceased to exist. I didn't have much to start with, but now it's really lacking. Clothes don't fit, I barely fill out an A cup. It's not a problem for my hubby, but it is for me. I've never been one for poor body image, but this is actually affecting me. I hate trying on clothes and won't go anywhere w/o a padded or miracle bra.

Has anyone had breast augmentation? Regrets? Anyone know a good, reputable, respectful doctor?
Please don't judge...I'm just in the information gathering stage.

What can I do next?

I had breast reconstruction and an implant after a mastectomy. My doctor was Dr. Stephen Cahill of Northeast Surgical Associates in Macomb Twp. I would recommend him to anyone. Very compassionate, professional and his work is excellent. I had some major issues with my implant, though, so be aware of that possibility. Other than that, go for it!

I have had breast aug. surgery. I went from small b to full C. It has been about 2 1/2 years now. If I had to do it over again I would not have the surgery. I had no complications, and enjoyed them in the beginning. Once the excitement and newness wore off I came to the conclusion that it was really not worth it. And it was definately not worth the money! This is something that you will have to maintain, it probably is not a one time deal. You will feel better for a while and it will help your self-esteem for just a bit. I know that even if your husband has no problem with how you are it does not help, but I do feel that is a huge plus! Everyone wants to be accepted and loved for who they are, naturally. Ultimately he is the one who see's you in the buff. Now, I asked for many peoples opinions myself for many years before having my surgery (I am 30yrs) but had my mind made up. Just remember that this is a permanent change to your body. You cannot go back, and you most likely will have to have another surgery and spend much more money. And, what are you going to do with those things when you are 60yr-70ys old? lol
These are just my personal thoughts and I in no way judge you. I wish you the best happiness with either decision you make!

I did this about 3 years ago now. Best money I ever spent on myself :) I went to a guy who goes through the belly button so there isn't even any visable scarring. I also know a few others who went to him and haven't had any problems and are totally satisfied with what he did.

I was in the exact same position as you. Nursed two boys and when I got done, OMG. I was flat, but not nice like a little girl, deflated flat. I had only been an A before but after I couldn't even fill that out. I just felt bad when I was naked and I had never felt that way before. I waited a year after nursing and made sure my husband was ok with it (he kept saying I was great as I was) and did it for myself. If you want any more info or need to 'talk' PM me :)

I don't know of any doctors as I have not looked into this. I just say do your homework. Maybe your regular doctor will have some suggestions for you as to who is good in your area.

Hi. (; I have 2 friends that both had this surgery. One went from an A to a full B and looks VERY natural. You would NEVER know she got her breasts done...even in a bathing suit. My other friend got a size D and her breasts are obviously done whether they're covered up or not. She now wants them reduced, she gets some unwanted and sometimes mean or crude comments. Both of my friends haven't had ANY complications and would do it all over again. The main advice I would give you would be to not go too big, even c's can look big depending on your frame (I know someone else that got C's and they looked pretty big! I think full b's are VERY natural looking and "just enough" without being overdone and fake. Someday I plan on getting mine done as well (when they get too far south (; ). I will go with the full b's as well.
Hope I've helped. (;

You can't imagine how fortunate you are. All of us with larger breasts envy you! It is so hard in so many ways, especially in the summer heat and with today's styles. My grandma always wore a padded bra and looked fine in her clothes. I didn't know it till she came to live with me at 90 and she was still wearing one! I personally wouldn't go through unnecessary surgery. My ex-mother-in-law said her bra size went down and her shoe size went up with each child. She said everything had just dropped! She was a beautiful lady and I'm sure you are too. Can you work on your own body image/self-esteem instead?

I can't help you with the breast augmentation but I will tell you that I think it's ok to have plastic surgery to make yourself feel better in cases where it's something you can't fix yourself. I don't agree with it when it's out of control. I had something done (breast lift) because I couldn't correct it myself, and to me, it's worth it then....just don't go turning into a pamela anderson type lol. I can't recommend any dr's though because I had this procedure in another state. Good luck!!!

I have not done this; actually I have wanted to be where you are now, believe it or not. This is the only reason I am posting this for you. Luckily, I went from a 'D' to a 'B' at least after nursing. You are fortunate as I never could fit ANYTHING for my tops previously and it still can be crazy! All shirts were made for smaller chested women it seemed! Or at least anything I want(ed).

I can say this... I have seen some women that have had this done, mainly after surviving breast cancer and it can be very painful. There are always issues that can arise later afterwards that are not thought of too much when it is in the 'now'.

I am sure you are a very beautiful and lovely woman. If your hubby is happy, I feel you should just really, really consider this as there is pain (when lifting/carrying your child) or after-affects that I would never want to see happen to any woman. Embrace yourself in the 'Now' and see yourself as Mother Incarnate. Even if that is with a small chest... Many of us other Moms would LOVE to be in your place! (funny how that works!)

Good luck in your decision, and I hope you do decide against it... Besides; all the bras and bikini tops are padded anyway. I could never find much without it when I needed to! :)
