Cost of Piano Lessons in Livermore?

Although we live in San Ramon, I thought I'd share our piano lesson experience just as a point of comparison. Our very qualified and experienced piano teacher charges only $20 per 30 minute lesson. She teaches out of her home (we go to her) and she doesn't do recitals (that's ok with us). We are very pleased with her and the progress our 9 year old daugther is enjoying. I know you probably don't want to travel to SR for lesssons, but $35 per lesson seems high. If you're interested, I can provide you with the name and number of our teacher. Good luck!

A dollar a minute is the going rate for quality experienced piano instruction. If your daughter is enjoying it and progressing then the value is there. Your not overpaying. With private lessons of this nature, often you get what you pay for. She sounds worth it.

Tuition sounds about right. At home should be about $5 more per session. But with gas prices sky rocketing, I can see teachers raising prices if they have to travel. Also, don't forget the cost of books that you sometimes have to reimburse the teacher for. Sometimes they tack on a fee for the convenience.

I am not sure of the cost but I know a gal who is a privat piano instructor. I would definitely use her when my children are older. If you would like her information I will get it to you.
