My period is 10 days late. I have abdominal cramps, I did a test on monday and came out negative. My dh has used a condom each time, we did not have unprotected sex. I also stopped taking zoloft like 45 days ago- then i took the last pill. Do you know if antidepressants like zoloft can affect your hormones?

What can I do next?

Just want to figure out this time line. You decided to leave your abusive husband so you went off your Zoloft and had sex with him?

You should have had very obvious withdrawal symptoms starting about 40 to 44 days ago that lasted about a week to a week and a half. You never quit meds like this cold turkey.

Call your doctor or a pharmacist and ask. I doubt very much it's the Zoloft. I suggest it could be stress caused by your situation with your husband along with you being stuck instead of taking action. You could be unconsciously focusing on the possibility of pregnancy so that you don't have to deal with leaving him.

I urge you to call a woman's shelter to ask for help getting out of this relationship. Take the first step in spite of your fear and you will feel better.

I wonder why you quit taking Zoloft. Seems to me you need an antidepressant now. Are you sabotaging your own happiness?

If you'd stopped taking the Zoloft within the last week, then I'd say it's possibly withdrawal symptoms. But since it was over a month ago, I'd guess likely not.

You should go see your doctor as to why you're late and have cramps. It's possible your cycle is just a little out of whack for whatever reason, but a negative test doesn't always mean you're not pregnant :)

I don't know about hormones but I DO know you must go off zoloft very slowly or you can have terrible flu like symptoms, like tired, achy..... so I'd so worth asking your doc.

45 days ago? No, I doubt after six weeks that it's the zoloft.
