I watched an episode of Extreme couponing" yesterday and I am more than intrigued. Does anyone know of a website with valuable and free coupons without having to download or take surveys to print?

So What Happened?

Thanks Ladies. I wasn't planning on becoming one of that extreme. But I did want to become better at saving money...You would figure it would be easy :) I do need to start setting time aside for coupons and looking at store ads instead of just going to one store to get what I need.
My uncle used to go to Kroger and Walmart and get 4 baskets full of groceries that would add up to $600 and he would only spend $3.00...NO LIE. But we are not close and do not speak so it's not like he can help me out. Thanks for the site suggestions.

Check out hip2save.com.

It is very easy to follow and no surveys or e-mail addresses are needed. It highlights sales at RiteAid, Walgreens, CVS, and Target and many others. I love it!

Probably not the kind of coupons you are looking for, but I LOVE Groupons.

southernsavers.com. She has tutorial videos on the site which can help explain how to get started. I've gone from spending $500-600 per month down to $300 or less. How much you save depends on how much time you have to clip/print coupons and drive to different stores to get each deal. I personally don't have the time to drive to 6 different places in a week for groceries. I stick to one or maybe two if I have extra time. I like to have fun with my family and not get too obsessed. :)

Don't believe all the stuff you see on that show though. Most of those stores are "allowing" the extreme measures for publicity, and don't truly allow it to regular customers.

Good luck!

I second www.hip2save.com - it's my favorite. There are also www.wantnot.net (more shopping for clothes, etc. than groceries), www.whosaidnothinginlifeisfree.com, www.moneysavingmom.com - those are my faves. I've been couponing for over 2 years and it's so much fun (no, I'm not in the "extreme" league). If anyone is local to Richmond, VA - there is a couponing group through www.meetup.org - Richmond Ways to Save. We will teach you how to coupon - organization, deals, etc. NO, it's not my group but I belong. Definitely check out www.coupons.com - that's where most of my printable coupons come from. You do have to download a printer app but it's legit!

I've actually been wondering about this too! I don't watch the show, but I've heard about it. Not so much that I expect to be an extreme couponer. I already clip coupons from the paper, but I know there's more out there and I wasn't sure where to start. Now I'm reading all the answers so I can find out for myself too!

Thanks for asking the question. :)

I use coupons.com. They do ask for your email address and will send you an email every month when they update the coupons. Search free printable coupons and a bunch come up. I have tried some of them, but have been happiest with coupons.com

Be careful about them. I found one that I liked, and when I downloaded the "coupon printer" it downloaded a program to my computer that "redirects" every link I use now to Groupon. It is maddening. My husband is going to look at the computer to take it off. I have stopped using Groupon now too, that just pissed me off.

Redplum, coupons.com, and smart source are safe, and you can print several coupons if it is an item you like. I found the bogo cat food coupons on my cats fav a real help. I can almost always get a firskies bogo coupon and pay half price for cat food.

Becentsable-offers online and off line couponing classes, where to get coupons.

Southernsavers-offers online and off line classes, where to get coupons and when they are updated.

Don't believe what you saw on Extreme couponing!! Stores will not let you use coupons like that in the real world!! I watched it too and it made me laugh because these women have so much stuff to last till their children are well into adulthood, why do they keep buying stuff?? And where is the fresh produce and the meat?? I spent $103 at Publix yesterday using Target, Publix, in store BOGO and Man coupons which saved me $45 bucks!! But I turned around and spent $46 in Wallyworld on meat and most of that was on markdown because the sell by date was a day away!! To me, just learn your stores coupon policy and how you can stack/use competitor coupons to get the most out of your coupons and you'll do fine. I'm just starting to learn how to coupon in the 'real' world because I'm used to going the the Commissary. And I hate to say it but I think I did better shopping at Publix than if I would have gone on base!!

Good luck!

Also check your store's websites. I go to Kroger, and I think Tom Thumb (Safeway) is doing it to. But you input your savings card number and you can download coupons right onto your card. This is in addition to the weekly savings provided by your card. I also use the sites mentioned below. But with the ones on your card, at least at Kroger, I can use the card coupon and a paper coupon on the same item.
