Craft Paper

My two and a half year old daughter loves to write and draw. Does anyone know where I can buy cheap paper? I am looking for recycled "doodle" sheets or pads. I would also like to buy dustless chalk. I have looked at Target and Walmart, but they don't seem to carry it. Any idea where I can buy some? Thanks.

What can I do next?

I've seen large rolls of paper at IKEA for a decent price, upstairs in the children's area--I don't know about dustless chalk though.

I bought a huge roll of butcher wrap (white paper) at Costco-maybe 2 years ago, and I still have it. I can't remember if it was 10 or 15-but it lasts forever-I have even pulled a long lenghth of the floor and let all 3 of mine color at once. also I have used it as a table clothg at the kids table for holidays with crayons. Did you try a craft store for the dustless chalk?

Sometimes you can go to a newspaper printing company and they will either sell or provide for free rolls of paper. I know my mom did this when we were younger...not completely positive if they still do this...usually its scrap rolls, etc. Call around and see what happens...
for the chalk, try Michaels or Jo-ann frabics...if they dont have it ask them they may be able to tell you.

Lakeshore Learning carries dustless chalk (see 1st link). They have a store in St. Louis Park and one in Maplewood. They also have free craft activities every Saturday from 11-3.

There is a fun store called ArtScraps in St. Paul that sells art materials that are overstocks, scraps, reused items (see 2nd link).
