My daughter will be 3 in a couple of weeks and I am looking for some craft idea's to do with her. She has been spending too much time in front of the TV and I want to break that habit. Plus I am tired of watching the movies as well. Any good idea's of crafts or to do something with her that doesn't require tv.

What can I do next?

This site has been awesome for kids crafts and activities. The crafts are easy and simple to do. Also has a lot of other activities that are very kid friendly.

At three my daughter loved to color with crayons and do finger painting and painting with brushes. We've colored paper plates and painted noodles then used Elmer's glue to stick them to the plate. Three is a good age to try safety scissors/cutting. -- all supervised of course!

My son is 3 and he loves to color with crayons, markers, colored pencils. He loves to paint, he doesn't like to finger paint but alot of kids do. He loves to play with play-doh and floam (though floam is sticky). He loves to play with scissors (safety scissors of course), I use my scissors and make paper snowflakes he colors and he uses his scissors and really just cuts up paper into little pieces but he loves it. 3 year olds can do pretty much any craft thing, glue, anything to color with. I go online and find free printable color sheets with letters and numbers and all his favorite characters. The only things I stay away from are any non-washable and real clay. Other than that we do it all. I just cover my dining room table in a vinyl tablecloth and cover him in a smock and let him go to town and clean-up is pretty easy.
