My baby is 7 months old. He was a pretty fussy baby for about the first 5 months. Now he's teething and fussy again. How long is this going to last?!?

What can I do next?

:) till he's almost 3. When my daughter was getting her 2 year molars she didn't leave my side (not 3 feet!). And would only sleep on me. I did get thought it, with a little expresso.
We used Hylands homeopathic teething tablets with great results. And a Arnica Montana Ointment for bumps 'n bruises.

The best thing in the world is those "Teething Tablets", they are all natural and work sooooo good!!! They sell them at CVS and I'm sure other local stores. Good Luck!!

I understand what you are going through. This will only last for a little while. Why don't you try those teething rings that you put in the freezer, they had great success with all four of my children.

Usually things that are very cold (like frozen teething rings) are excellent soothers for cranky teething babies. My daughters used to like to chew on super cold wet wash cloths.
Also, don't be afraid to give Tylenol, if your doctor says it's OK. It can really help.

Get used to it! I feel like it lasts forever! Mine is 16 mons. drolls all the time; right now she is in the process of getting her eye teeth!

Sterilize a soda bottle top (or water bottle), put it back on the bottle, Make darn sure its on as tight as it can possibly be and let your little one gnaw away. the ridges aren't dangerous but help the tooth along.... worked great for my kids, was much more effective than anything that you could buy for teething in the stores. Make sure that you supervise while they have it. It was great "mommy or daddy" time in our household, holding them and allowing them to gnaw away.

try some teething tablets. I like Hyland's - they're homeopathic, and they work great. Don't worry, he won't be teething forever, it will just FEEL like forever... and then he'll be two, and he'll be fussy for all new reasons :) Hang in there!

Well my son was colicy untill he was 6 months old non-stop, it was tough cause then came teething, well the first 10 months were really tough, on top of that he didn't sleep completly threw the night untill he was 2 years old. By then I actually forgot what sleeping threw the night was like, so u bet that when those days came and he slep a complete night I knew it. But as tough as it was I wouldn't trade it for the world and Id do it all over again cause my son turned out to be so great... so i hope that gives you some hope it's tough now but pays off in the long run just be patient and caring they will do the rest.

crankiness due to teething lasts until the tooth pops through.. then it goes away until the next tooth is ready to pop through

there are times when my daughter is just awfull for several days.. she is really on my last nerve.. and I look in her mouth and there is a tooth just about to pop through..

When my kids are cranky - and not tired or hungry or something.. I often try a dose of tylenol.. it often improves their mood..

K.,

My son was also a fussy baby for the first few months of his life. At 5 1/2 months he got his first teeth and I did homeopathic teething drops (again now because he just got his top 2 teeth), tylenol when needed, and baby orajel (they have daytime and nighttime in one box). It seemed to make him a less cranky. REMEMBER though that those teething rings with water in them are no longer suppose to go into the freezer unless it says on the packaging "safe for freezer". I can't remember who told me this (I think my sister-in-law and she is always on top of the new things that are okay and not okay etc) and so we keep them in the refrigerator now.

My husband got the baby orajel and homeopathic drops from I think CVS or Kroger. Those are the 2 closest places to our home so I am just assuming.

Good luck to you!
