Credit cards can be a slippery slope if you are not well disciplined.
We run our company from home, broker/consulting of raw materials, and we use the Chase card for business expenses. We NEVER, EVER carry a balance, NEVER have, NEVER will.
We do have a cash back program that we put right back into the business.
We have used Citibank American Airlines in the past but stopped because there is too much red tape for air miles and just not worth it.
We use Southwest airlines as our company plane and we each end up with a free ticket about once every 8 weeks and stay on the A-list so it is too easy not to go Southwest.
We have used Citibank Driver's Edge which is a good card. You get up to $500 per year credit towards a new/used car. The deal here is make your best car deal, send the forms to Driver Edge and they send you cash back. When we bought my new car in December, we got $1500 back from Drivers Edge, CASH. We no longer use this card though because we are not in the market for another car.
We like the cash back from Chase, it is easy to do. We run a lot of expenses through our card and like I said, it is paid in full monthly.
Check out the features that your bank offers. A package deal, checking, credit card, etc through a bank can help you eliminate any monthly fees, etc. We work with Chase and BOA with personal and business banking.
Are you going to be accepting credit card payments? We are not in that end of the business because we sell by the truckload and railcar full of materials. HOWEVER, my hairstylist loves Chase because you can attach the scanner to the IPHone and the user fee is much lower than some of the up to 6% processing fees.
Good luck to you and your business!!
