There are so many different kinds of credit cards available right now, there are many options to choose from. For a business, you may want to contact the bank that handles your business accounts and see what type of options they have.

I know Chase offers a card, especially for small businesses.

Depending on the type of business, you may want to look into a card that offers some type of rebate program, where the business can use the rebates. Like Discover that has a 1% rebate, or BJ's that offers rebates that can be used only in their store.

Good luck with your business.

you have to look at the pros and cons and what you want to benefit from the credit card. Hubby and I have one of the Amex cards because we get 5% back on Gas and groceries and there is no annual cost to have it. We switched to that since we had the baby in 08. Prior to that we Delta Amex and all our money would be credited to skymiles so we could fly for free..again it depends on what you want to get out of the card
I also used to have Discover...but that only gave you 1% cash back. I LOVE our amex that gives us 5% back...we are getting on average about $75 to $100 back per month (thats applied to the balance)
Good luck

Credit cards can be a slippery slope if you are not well disciplined.

We run our company from home, broker/consulting of raw materials, and we use the Chase card for business expenses. We NEVER, EVER carry a balance, NEVER have, NEVER will.

We do have a cash back program that we put right back into the business.

We have used Citibank American Airlines in the past but stopped because there is too much red tape for air miles and just not worth it.

We use Southwest airlines as our company plane and we each end up with a free ticket about once every 8 weeks and stay on the A-list so it is too easy not to go Southwest.

We have used Citibank Driver's Edge which is a good card. You get up to $500 per year credit towards a new/used car. The deal here is make your best car deal, send the forms to Driver Edge and they send you cash back. When we bought my new car in December, we got $1500 back from Drivers Edge, CASH. We no longer use this card though because we are not in the market for another car.

We like the cash back from Chase, it is easy to do. We run a lot of expenses through our card and like I said, it is paid in full monthly.

Check out the features that your bank offers. A package deal, checking, credit card, etc through a bank can help you eliminate any monthly fees, etc. We work with Chase and BOA with personal and business banking.

Are you going to be accepting credit card payments? We are not in that end of the business because we sell by the truckload and railcar full of materials. HOWEVER, my hairstylist loves Chase because you can attach the scanner to the IPHone and the user fee is much lower than some of the up to 6% processing fees.

Good luck to you and your business!!

You want a business card for business purposes only?

American Express Business Class or
Chase Small Business Card

I don't know what your business is going to be doing - but I would seriously consider starting a company out with seed money or a grant and not create a negative balance sheet by getting a credit card....

American Express and Chase have some great options for business owners...

Also check out your bank - they may have small business cards as well...go to the American Small Business Association (I think that's what it's called) and check out what and who they recognize as having great benefits for business purposes.

I use Chase Ink for my business and you get "points" for every purchase and you can use your points to pay your bill or to get gift cards to stores. It sometimes depends on what your business is. If you need to buy supplies look for a card where you can possibly buy more supplies with your "points" since most every business card gives you some sort of points.
