I've decided to make some cheesy potatoes this year for Christmas dinner. I have very limited oven space, so I'd like to make them in the Crock Pot. Does anyone have and tried and true recipes for me?

What a great idea! I love those and I think I'll make some as well in my crock pot. Will be watching for recipes! Thanks for asking this.

They do work in the crock pot. Make them like your normally would, except in the crock pot!

I use southern style potatos (with the green pepper and onions in them)
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 can of cream of celery soup
1 small container of sour cream
Shredded chedder cheese.

Mix all the ingredients in the crockpot and depending on how long you have is depending on the temp you cook it at. I typically cook it on high for about 45 mins, stirring it occasionally...and then turn it to low or warm for about a half hour before we eat it.

I tried the recipe a few weeks back to make sure it was good - and we liked how it turned out. :) Tastes really good.

I make cheesy mash potatoes.

Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash with (use with or without skin)
1 small sour cream
1 block of cream cheese
1 stick of butter (although you don't need to use the whole stick or any if you don't want)
salt & pepper to taste
About a half hour before serving add 1 package of shredded cheese, if you prefer less cheese you don't have to use the whole bag, but my family loves it.

I just keep it on low, after putting this all in the crockpot.
