F.H.
I know you asked about pork, but I will share this anyway and maybe you can try it next time. This past weekend I had a bday party for my bff. I asked her what she wanted, she said "shredded chicken sandwhiches". Ok, never had them so I go the recipe. Its from her cousin who owned a restaraunt in Ohio and people came in JUST for these:
4lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3-4lbs bonesless skinless chicken thighs
2 packets dry onion soup mix
salt and pepper to taste
Cut meat into smaller pieces (but you don't have too). Add meat to crockpot, cover just chicken with water (not too much, just enough to cover meat) add both packets of soup and salt and pepper to taste. Stir. Heat on low all day or overnight. When done, stir so meat becomes stredded. Use slotted spoon to drain or pinchers, put on kaiser roll, serve. Hubby added bbq sauce from the bottle on his, I added a slice of cheese...these were AWESOME and will be served frequently this summer since I don't like to cook. Good luck and have fun!!!
