I'm looking for a gymnastics and dance studio in the south OP/OLathe area for my 3 1/2 yo. Any suggestions? I'd prefer she still do it for fun over competition and am more interested in the gymnastics part.

What can I do next?

I would try something simple out first to see if she really likes to do it. I have both my kids 3 and 5 year olds enrolled with the Johnson County Parks and Rec. Reasonably priced so you can try different activities out. My daughter goes the the Acadamy of Arts for dance and my 3 year old son goes to ATC for tumbling. They both love it. Elite gymnastics is on 108th and Pflumm. They have recreational gymnastics as well as a competitive team. I know that they have a Tumble Tots class for kids 3&4 and is about $90 for 6 weeks. They dont do dance, but try them for gymnastics, they offer a free trial class.

My girls have danced at the Studio School of Dance in Olathe (corner of Ridgeview Rd. and Kansas City Rd) since they were 3, they are 17 and 14 now. I love this place, they are not competitive, they want kids to do it all, my girls have danced and held jobs and played other sports all while there. THey do ONE recital a year, so your weekends aren't spent watching them perform at malls (mine were spent at soccer games :) ) My oldest will be a senior in high school next year and is actually considering one college simply because she would be able to come back and take an adult class there.

My daugher has been going to Kansas Gymnastics and Cheer for 2 years, since she was 3 1/2 years old. It's gymnastics (no dance) but is a lot of fun. Obviously the older kids are doing competition, but the young ones are there just doing 1 hour classes once a week. They sessions are around $100-115 and last 9 weeks. They are over by the Bass Pro Shop that is being built off of 119th, just west of where Benchmark used to be. You can particiapte in one class free to see if you like it.

My daughter just loves it. She's learned skipping and galloping from them, and now is working on back-bends and cartwheels. Definitely helps use up her excess energy!
