Hi Sugandi-
I am a former dancer, I danced all the way through my college years. I have tried both LifeTime and dance classes at a studio.
I didn't attend classes much at LifeTime because they were not very "fun". I didn't have anyone going with me so I knew I wouldn't keep up with classes like "Boot Camp". Slow classes like Pilates just didn't feel like a workout to me. I want to be up and dancing around. Also, I didn't feel really "welcome" at a big place like LifeTime.
The dance classes I've taken in recent years were more fun, but not enough of a workout for the money. Once a week classes at $15 each will not get me in shape. With a lot of class time spent on stretching, or perfecting turning techniques across the floor, I didn't really break a sweat. Too much money for too little results. I was disappointed because I really love to dance and thought a studio would be the answer.
I was hoping to try Jazzercize. They have a place in LITH, check their website for more locations. It seems to be the type of place that have good music and old fashioned "aerobics" that I grew up with. Jane Fonda anyone?
I am 20 years and 15 pounds past my dancing days. I am an at home mom who is too sedentary. Good luck and keep dancing!
