I'm going back to work in Deep Ellum come September 10th, my mom is fortunately my son's "childcare" for when I go to work. I know that she would like time to herself, so we agreed that if I could find a daycare (which is preferred) to place my son for the first week out of each month, it would work out great. I have yet to find a daycare that's willing to do this for me though. Do any of you know of a daycare either in Downtown Dallas, N. Dallas, Richardson, Plano, Wylie/Sachse/Murphy area that would do this for me? My other option is to just place him in daycare full time but my mom still wants to care for my son the other 3 week out of the month. Any help is appreciated! THANKS!!!

What can I do next?

I currently am caring for a 4 year old and a sahm to my 3 year old. I would be available to care for your child one week a month or as needed. I'm located right of Jupiter Rd. close to 190. I have excellent references. Pm me if you'd like my number.

Hi T.,
I have an inhome daycare in west Plano and have an opening for a part timer. I am registered with the State of Texas and have my first aid and CPR certificates. If you would like to know more about my daycare you can check me out in the local business reviews and also at my website www.adventuresingrowing.net
Thanks
T.

Hi T.,
I think you are going to have a really hard time finding daycare for one week out of the month at a daycare. Another option you might want to consider is an inhome daycare. You can look on the TX Department of Family and Protective Services website and find people that are located in your area that have registered with the state. You may find someone that is more willing to do that one week or take your kiddo part time, maybe 2 days a week? Part time care tends to be more expensive than full time care so it may be worth it to pay the full time amount so that your spot is available when or if you ever need it. I have some people listed on my website under "Are you currently looking for care?". If you are interested in someone in McKinney, call Lisa Pitman. She has a friend (she is registered) that could probably help you. I can't remember if she is on there yet or not, her name is Tina. www.kidsinbloom.blogspot.com Good luck, hope this helps! A.

I know a daycare that's hourly. *shrugs* I think it's like $6.50 an hour and you can just pay for one hour while you shop, or for a whole day (or week). If you'd like more information about it, lemme know and I'll ask my friend who told me about it and get back to you. =)
