"Decorating Ideas for Base Housing"

My advice would be to bring the blue color into other parts of the room so that it looks intentional. Say throw pillows, picture matting, and/or curtains (they don't have to be solid, just have a little of the same color blue). Then add in another color that you enjoy. Ignoring the blue floor would only make it stand out.

Another option would be to get a very large area rug in a color that you enjoy. However, unless you can cover the blue completely, you may still want to coordinate it into the accessories.

I had brown couches and the blue carpet when we lived on base. :) I threw green pillows on my couches and they looked good. Dunno how or why I chose the green but it was a sage color.

Go with a neutral cream. If you go to Target and Walmart, Kmart, etc they have a lot of brown and blue and cream accessories. Or try online at POttery Barn and places like that.
I painted my walls too. I know they say you can't do that but why else is there KILZ? :o)

You actually can paint the walls in base housing just have to right forms filled out. Just know that when you move out you do have to go back to the original color.
Cream would be a good choice as already mentioned.
