Dentist for My Little One

We have the best dentist. She is a family dentist and has two kids of her own. SHh is sooo good with my kids, I have a 14 year old daughter and a 4year old and they just love her and she does very good work and accepts lots of dental plans. My husband and I also go to her. Her name is Dr. Denette Anderson she is located in Long Beach California Heights/ Bixby Knolls area. Her number is ###-###-####. Her dad also has a practice and they share the building.

We have Delta. Her office is all surfed out. She has a tv above the chair so the children watch Surf's Up, Dora the Explorer, etc. And we are able to stay with our son the whole time.

Dr. Lander in Long Beach off Second Street. He's great, just too far for me since I moved to NOrth OC. Went to him forever and would take my 3-year old daughter there if we were closer. I'm in the same boat as you, need to find a dentist.

Let me know if you get any other good kid recommended dentists.

We love our pediatric dentist, Dr. Diamond. I even stopped using my regular one and go there.

Dr. Santos Cortez 3320 Los Coyotes Diagonal is a good children's dentist the office is very cute -fish, tvs,computer games, prizes. He helped us with some Delta billing dispute - sealants - they have to be put on at a certain age or they don't want to pay. My complaint about his office is twofold - I had to insist that I stay with my kids during procedures (they wanted me to stay in the lobby). My kids don't cry or whine they wanted me near them. And he wanted to put Bella under to pull the tooth that wouldn't fall out. I would frankly prefer my kids deal with pain than be put under. Also, the tooth fell out on its own it just took a long time.

My daughter had a hard time going to a Dentist, so we got a referral to Dr. Stella, Long Beach. She loved it. No problems with x-rays. The place looks like Disneyland. I was very sad when we had to stop.

I love our dentist in Cypress, he does awesome with my daughter, so does his staff. We've been going there since she was around 3.

I like Dr. Alan Grant's office in Long Beach. 3620 Long Beach Blvd. B-6, Long Beach, CA 90807. ###-###-####. Dr. Grant is the best, but all of the staff dentist I have had are very good with my girls (now ages 6, 11, 14). I no longer have Delta PPO, but they took it when I had it. I have been going to this dental office off and on for almost 10 years. -L.

Here's a poop story for you... My husband was playing with my 2 year old twins in the jacuzzi. They were splashing, dunking their heads and spitting water at each other. I was gardening when all of a sudden the giggling stopped, my husband popped out of the water and said "who pooped?" Long story short, one of my little darlings had a blow out in her swim diaper and my whole family was covered head to toe inside and out with poo. My husband started to gag, they all got out of the hot tub and I hosed em down, then they took a hot soapy shower. I drained and disinfected the hot tub. Everyone survived. 9 years later we all laugh about it.

I noticed a couple of people recommending Dr. Stella and he does accept Delta PPO. However, be aware that he is NOT a preferred provider (unless he's changed recently). I used to take my kids to Dr. Stella and they loved him and the environment (in fact one of my complimentary letters is on his website). However, I left him when he stopped being a Delta preferred provider. I could afford the co-payments for regular visits, but I wasn't willing to take the financial risk if there was an emergency or expensive procedure that needed to be done.

I now take my kids to Dr. Bill Worden in Long Beach. He's a Delta preferred provider, the environment is comfortable, and they're great with the kids. Dr. Worden's office is not as much fun as Dr. Stella's (Dr. Stella hired an advertising firm to create his "image" and environment), but I'm very happy with Dr. Worden. On a side note, Dr. Stella used to work at the office with Dr. Worden before opening his private practice about 6-7 years ago.

Myself, my husband and my now 10 year old have been going to Randal Kanemaki Dentistry. My daughter has been going there since she was about 2. All of the dentists there are great. They are at 8751 Valley View, Suite B, Buena Park, - phone is ###-###-####. They have been fantastic with my daughter from day one. To this day, she doesn't mind going at all. My husband and I also love this place. I highly recommend them. You would have to call to find out about insurance.

We take our 4 year son to Dr. Stella on Bellflower in Long Beach. They specialize in children's dentistry and they took great care of my son on his first visit. I was really nervous going in, but everyone was so great and Dr. Stella has a genuine interest in each of his patients. Not sure what PPO plans they take, but you can give them a call and they will be sure to help you.

I believe somebody just recommended Dr. Dora Lee in Los Alamitos. I recently took my 2 year old son and we had a wonderful experience. She and her staff are very patient and take the time to answer questions and to ensure he was comfortable. We also use Delta Dental so you shouldn't have a problem with insurance. You won't be disappointed.

We see Dr. Scott Fishman in Lakewood. He's off of South and Bellflower Blvd. You would have to check on the insurance though.

I've been taking my kids to him for years. He's great.

My little one loves Dr. Stella in Long Beach.
