Dentist Recommendations? - Chicago,IL

Hi, I need to take my 3 year old daughter to a dentist for the first time. (I know I'm late.) Does anyone have any dentist or pediatric dentist they can recommend around Wicker Park? I don't mind driving 20 mins. but would like it within the city. I have no dental insurance so it'll be out of pocket but expense isn't a problem.

Thanks!

Well this is a bit out of the way but I LOVE my dentist. She is excellent with children. My daughter actually likes going to the dentist. Her name is Dr. Karen Izzo located on Cumberland in Chicago. Will have to look up the number. Near Cumberland and Montrose

I just had a great experience with Dr. Kevin Boyd at Dentistry for Children on Halsted and Willow in Lincoln Park. He is affiliated with Children's Memorial. The hygenists did an excellent job with my two year old during his first visit, and "Dr. Kevin" made him feel very at ease. I was especially happy that this was not a pediatric dentist's office where they send the parents out of the room - I hate that! :)

Hi there -
I have found that the dentists at Children's Memorial office on Deming are top notch, particularly Dr. Benya Young. She is great with all 3 of my children. I have been taking them there for almost 3 years, ever since my son fractured his front tooth under the gum line. He was very scared and she did a great job soothing him and he loves her to this day. My 3 year olds really like her too. On Deming a few streets north of Fullerton) at Clark, the Professional building just east of Clark. ###-###-#### 467 W. Deming Place, 9th floor. 8am-4:30 m-f. Good luck!

H., H. K,

I work for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (and am a mom) and we have a great doctor finder on our web site at www.aapd.org as well as a bunch of parent info. I take my daughter to Dr. Mary Tierney on Western at Leeland but my other recommendations would be Dr. Charlie Czerpak and any one else in his office and Dr. Mary Hays and anyone in her office also. Good luck!

We go to Toothfairy World on Clybourn and have always had a good experience there. Both dentists are great but we usually see Dr. Vitiello. She's very patient with the kids and also quick. Here's the info:

i'll throw another pediatric dentist in the mix - Dr Mary at CityKidsDental on Western. She practices on her own, and it's very kid friendly.

Pine Dental Care has a new facility near North and Clybourn, so everything is state-of-the-art. They are a group of pediatric dentists. My daughter, who is seven, has seen either Dr. Richardson or "Dr. Nancy" (Hijawi is her last name, I think) since she was three. Everyone is very professional and kind, and the hygienist named Dan makes my daughter's teeth cleanings fun. This place is expensive, which I state for others, since you say it is not an issue for you. The number is 773/880-5455.
