Have seen a large dermatology group for my teen's acnes. Will NOT return to them.
This group has several offices and different names. Need a dermatologist who is more interested in treating the patient than spending less than a minute and making mistakes in medications, etc.

What can I do next?

My daughter used Dr. Sturm. He was recommeded by my obgyn. They tried all kinds of topical & antibiotic treatments for her and none of it worked. She ended up taking acutane & her acne is gone. They are a group of about 4 or 5 mds plus a great p.a. The number is ###-###-####.

Dr. Niren in Alpharetta is in practice by herself. I have been going to her for over 12 years because I had a basil cell cancer on my nose and she treated me for that. My husband, father and sister have all gone to her and she is wonderful. Since my cancer was taken care of, the last 10 years, I only go once a year for a body check. Her phone number is ###-###-####. Her practice is next door to North Fulton Hospital.

As a mother of a teenage boy and someone who had also suffered from acne myself, I highly recommend ProActiv. As a teenager, I took every antibiotic imaginable for my acne and none of it worked...it only weakened my immune system. When I was 22, I took Accutane, the strongest (and most expensive)treatment out there, of which the side effects can be horrendous and can severely damage your liver--only for my acne to return in my mid-20's. That's when I found out about ProActiv. At around $40 a month (it comes in a month supply)it is highly effective and is the ONLY thing that got rid of my acne. My 15 yr. old is now using it and his face has cleared up as well.
