"Desperately Searching for a GOOD OB/GYN!"

Unfortunately last September I had a miscarriage. At about 14 weeks of pregnancy I thought I was in the clear but something went wrong. And I continuously told my practitioner that I felt that there was something wrong but was repeatedly assured that everything was normal. I finally had to have a D&C in late October. For at least six months before this pregnancy I felt that my body was way out of wack and went through a few ob's trying to find out what was up with no luck. I am TOTALLY in tune with my body. I can tell I'm getting sick before the visible symptoms break out, I can tell when my PH is out of wack, I also “felt” pregnant within 3 days of conception with all three of my pregnancies. I have a strong history of ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancer in my family. All of the women who had it were diagnosed by the time they were 30 and only 2 of 6 survived. I know there is something going on with me but I need a Dr. who is willing to listen and thoroughly check me out. I'm not a hypochondriac or anything and I don't think I have cancer but I know there is definitely something going on down there be it infection or whatever. Because I am only 26 there is a very short list that they are willing to screen me for since so many things usually only happen to women over 30. I have heard that bacterial vaginosis can cause a late miscarriage so I asked to be tested with negative results. PLEASE help me find a GOOD DR….I need to get to the bottom of this! THANK YOU! ;p p.s. Sorry so long!

What can I do next?

I LOVE, LOVE LOVE my ob/gyn. I have sent all of my friends and co-workers to her and all of them say the same thing. She is the kind of person who you want to become best friends with.

She is located next to Northside Hospital in Sandy Springs.

Dr. Phoebe Sun

She really listens and offers sound advice. She also just had her second child, so she is experienced as a patient as well.

I love her!!!!

Hey K.,

OB/GYN Associates (Dr. Espy's group) gets my vote as well. ALL of these doctors are superb. If you are looking for someone with all the technical prowess but still has a "country doctor" feel to him, I would recommend Dr. Terry Kelly. He's with this group as well, and is a kind, experienced, gentle soul. Anyhow, you've got your choice of young, hip professionals or old, less hip professionals. All of the doctors at this practice are phenomenal. If you are looking for excellent care and some answers, they'd be the best ones to give them to you.

Good luck!

E.

(p.s. If you appreciate antiques, you will go GA GA over the Marietta office. This place has the most amazing stuff. Dr. Espy and his wife are collectors, and must have multiple millions of dollars of the funkiest stuff you could ever imagine!)

I don't have personal knowledge of this one, but thought you could call and see if she works for you. Go to "wmn4wmn.com", and read about Dr. Felicia Dawson. She's a holistic gynecologist (used to be an ob also, but is retiring from that).
Her phone # is ###-###-####.
Although her focus is now on weight loss, she is board certified in ob/gyn and embraces "Traditional Chinese Medicine, naturopathy, homeopathy, energy medicine, mind-body interventions, body work (massage) and herbal medicine."
Hope this helps!
I am sure that you will find a dr. who will hear that you do know your body, and when something is off with it.
Best to you and your family.

Very personable. The old school of spending time with the patient is effident. Close to your area and husband's work!

I saw Brick Bills with my youngest two. I LOVED him & his partner Clement Csaio. They have offices in Alpharetta & down at Northside. Their # is ###-###-####. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the practice. Both of them are extremely caring, good listeners, and very on top of things. Good luck with everything!
