I have a great cheesecake recipe that has no sugar.

2-8oz packages of cream cheese
1 5oz can of sugar free condensed milk
1/3 cup of lemon juice
2tbs butter
approx 2cups crushed graham crackers
1/4 cup splenda

melt butter in sauce pan over low heat. Mix splenda graham crackers and butter until all butter is absorbed. press mixture into pie plate.
Mix cream cheese on med speed until creammy. Add condensed milk and lemon juice until well mixed.
Pour mixture on to crust and refridgerate for an hour. Add any fruit topping or eat as is.

Also a good source is Kraftfoods.com they have a magizine subscription for just about everything and the first one you subscribe to if free. I myself get the food and family magizine. It is full of fun easy to fix snacks and lunches for the family as well as well balanced dinners that are fast and simple. I am not positive but I think that they have a magizine for low or no sugar meals. I am sure you can find something on their web site that may help you. Good luck!

Sugar isn't the only thing to watch for with diabetes... all carbohydrates are processed into sugar by the body, so you need to count carbs as well and watch the intake. The American Diabetes Association is a great place to start for basic information and recipies: www.diabetes.org.

Generally, I see how many grams of carbs a portion has and limit my intake to 45-60 grams per meal and two 15 gram snacks rather than use sugar-free recipies or a special diet. This method has worked well for me. There is also a great book available: The Fat, Calorie, and Carb Counter. It lists just about any food you can imagine as well as restaurants. I've seen it at Kroger, Meijer, Barnes & Noble - just about everywhere. They have a website as well: www.calorieking.com.

Hope this helps.

Are you diabetic or your kids/grandkids? I have found a really great drink on the web that is no sugar/no carbs and only 8 calories. They have 7 flavors: Rootbeer, Grape, citrus, tropical, cherry, green tea, and lemonade. They also carry 3 caffeine free flavors. You can check them out at www.vlefevre.qhealthzone.com. They may help as a good snack to curb your appetite. They have a lot of vitamins in them and they taste great! Good luck to you.

Hello, I just recently found out my daughter is a diabetic. She is 9yrs old. My older sister is a type 2 diabetic and I use to think, oh you have to watch the sugar. Anyways, our diabetic doctor watches her carbs. They tell us to make sure she drinks the no sugar drinks but the food is something different, because if you look at all those sugar free recipes, they still have almost as many carbs in them. So, she's allowed to eat what she likes, we just have to count the carb intake and give her the right amount of inslin. For those diabets that are not inslin dependent, I'm not sure. If I come across any low carb, low sugar recipes, I'll let you know.

HI L.-
Have you ever read about the ZONE diet? It's perfect for someone with Type II diabetes. It was develped to control insuline levels by balancing your protien, carb and fat intake. There is a website and several books with recipes available. I'm not diatbetic but I have followed the diet for years and have maintained a healthy weight as well as a higher energy level. It's not a low carb diet either. You eat 40 grams of carbs (good carbs like fruits & veggies) to every 30 grams of protein and fat. There are plenty of ways to get motiveated if your interested. The websites are www.zonediet.com or www.zonedietinfor.com. If you go to google and type in zone diet and diabetes you can find out more specific info. I hope that helps.
Good Luck,
S.
