T.S.
I've been through a miscarriage myself, so I know how worring it can be. I would say it's probably just a different pregnancy. If you are not bleeding, you should be fine.
HI Moms!
Thank you in advance for your help. I'm a little nervous. I found out a week a go that I am pregnant, about 6 weeks. At first, I was having the classic symptoms, just like with my first, nausea, tired, and very hungry! But then on Saturday, I woke up and it was all gone. Is this normal? I know that each pregnancy can be different, but for the symptoms to just go away? Did I miscarry an my body just hasn't expelled the baby? Anything that could help ease my mind would be wonderful! Thank you again.

Worrying is the worst thing you can do right now. Call your Doctor and tell them your concerns. They are great with easing your mind about these things. Stress is not good for you right now. I remember how different #1 and #2 and #3 pregnancies were from each other! I was so sick with my first, but had no symptoms of nausea with the other two. Plus, I think your body gets used to being pregnant faster with #2 than number 1 so you start to feel less symptoms sooner. My doctor did an ultrasound on all my pregancies at 7 weeks to check development and due dates. Ask if yours will be doing one so that you can see your baby, and then you'll feel so much better! My second pregancy was with twins, and I had ultrasounds every week, and I ovulated twice the month we got pregant and the fetuses were two weeks apart in gestation. I remember how good it felt to see them growing each week, but new pretty early on that we were likely going to lose the younger of the two. I remember very well the heartache of that day we went in for the ultrasound to see that it's heart had stopped beating. But until that day I never once had thoughts that I would be losing one nor did I worry about it because there is nothing you can do to stop it if it does happen, and it is noones fault. I am sure your baby is doing great! Keep positive thoughts and be grateful everyday.
The same exact thing happened to me at the beginning of this pregnancy (my second also). I had nausea, exhaustion, etc., really, really early (around 4 weeks). By the time I was 8 weeks, it had all disappeared. I got a little bit of a break and then symptoms I hadn't had until later in pregnancy with the first started showing up (heartburn,etc.). I'm now 5 months along, baby's developing just fine (a boy this time), and every ultrasound I've had (3 so far) has shown him to be in perfect health. It may just be that your body knows what to do this time around and is adjusting to the changes quicker than before. If you really are worried, you could always take another home pregnancy test. If something had happened to the baby, your body would stop making the pregnancy hormones and the test would come up negative. It's a lot easier to spend the $10 for the test than it is to sit around and worry.
I've had a couple friends who suddenly did not feel pregnant anymore, and it turns out the fetuses had quit developing. But I've also had friends who've still felt pregnant after the fetus quit developing. I think the only way for you to know everything is OK, is to go into the doctor. They can do an ultrasound to check things out. Keep positive in the meantime...typically pregnancies are all so different. I hope all is well.
Hi S.-
Yes every pregnancy is different. I would not think the worse right away. The baby changes at 6 weeks and you have a change in hormones as well. The heart starts to beat at 6 weeks and the yoke sac transforms. SO it is normal to have a change at 6 weeks, some change for the worse sterting to be engages to the Tidy Bowl Man, (LOL) so thank goodness that is not you. Just give it some time. Do not worry and release those stress hormones. If you are not bleeding or cramping, just keep going and do not stress about the negative. It it has taken that route "because something was not right in the first place" then your body will soon display that and let you know in a direct way. So right now, eat, drink plenty of fluids and enjoy feeling well.
