Discount Furniture

Have you tried Once Upon a Child? They sell used furniture at a good price. There are a few of them around, you'd have to google to see which store is closest to you and call them to see what they have. Since spring is around the corner, check out the mom to mom sales. I have seen sales with lots of furniture. I would also check craigslist.com, upcoming spring/summer garage sales, and children's resale shops. I don't know how much you are looking to spend, but some of the Burlington Coat Factory stores have their Baby Depot department which carries new furniture at a good price.

You should try craigslist.com It is a classified ad online. It will prompt you for an area you would like to look - state, city. You may find a great set that someone has outgrown and they will sell it for a great price. I always look there first. I was lucky enough to find my kids a huge swing set that sells at stores for $1,500 new, for $150.00. It is worth a look. Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming baby!!!

I work for Art Van Furniture by Lakeside Mall in Shelby Township. We do not specialize in cribs but we do have a great collection of children's furniture and some rocking chairs on both the retail floor and in our huge clearance center. I would happy to keep my eye out for some things. Also, try craigslist.com. My sister has had a lot of luck with that.

If you want new, check out Target or Ikea. They have great prices on good quality furniture. If you want used, go to craigslist.org. Best of luck!

Hey P. - Congrats on the little one! Have you tried Freecycle through the Yahoo groups at all? You may be able to get some stuff off of there for free. Email me and I'll send you more information. I'm in the Oxford/Lake Orion area, too.
