If they are hard plastic toys, put them in the dishwasher. It is easy and you know they get clean
I was looking for a good way to disenfect toy's. Do i just wash them in washer, and wipe down those that can't be washed? Any products i can use?

If you use bleach water, make sure you rinse everything really well. Clorox makes a product I think it's called Anywhere spray or something like that works really well. It's not as harsh or toxic as bleach. We use that on our toys.
Washer with bleach when possible, super hot dryer with things that can't get wet, I used the dishwasher all the time per my peds dr.
Hi K., just fill your kitchen sink up with warm water, and put a cup of clorox bleach in it, let soak for a few min. and rinse. It's done.
I read a reply from a mom once who mixed water and Listerine in a spray bottle and sprayed things that couldn't be washed.

One part bleach to ten parts water is the best thing to use for disinfecting toys. Good luck!
K., when I see the ad for disinfecting things for children such as toys and bottles with chlorox bleach I truly cringe. I am a shaklee dist. and I am passionate about getting chemicals away from our children in home and in schools. There is a disinfeter deodorizer and cleaner called germacide (basic G) that is proven to be outstanding and has no harmfull chemicals. In researching I haven't found anything else. Please check it out and let me know if I can help. www.livingwithsolutions.com We have always been GREEN!!
I use a natural disinfectant called Sol-U-Guard Botanical. It's EPA approved for use in hospitals, daycares, and schools and is a much safer alternative to bleach. Bleach has been linked to learning disabilities and can trigger asthma. There are still many health care professionals who recommend bleach in spite of all the research indicating it's possible risks. I just prefer to play it safe - yes, pun intended! :)
bleach bleach bleach this is what we were taught in day care wash toys that can be washed in washer with bleach ,those that cants wipe down with bleach and wipe off so they are sanitized... good luck
I LOVE the Chlorox Anywhere spray! With having an in-home childcare for a few years and also with having a 6 month old we definitely swear by that stuff!!!
I can recommend some household products that are not only toxin free, but chemical free as well........you can spray anything and it won't hurt anyone, including pets. if you are interested let me know. It depends on the toy on throwing them in the washer.
When my daughters had the flu a few months back, I took Lysol disinfectant wipes and wiped down every plastic toy they had. Seemed easier (for me anyways) to sit in the play room and clean out the toy boxes while cleaning the toys instead of carrying them all to the kitchen or bathroom to clean them and then take them back to the play room.
A light bleach water solution (rinse well), a light Pine Sol solution (rinse well), Lysol and you can use the spray on ones you can wash just make sure they are dry before allowing to use again.
Isn't this fun? I hated it when my children were really small and I hate it now, sigh.
1/2 & 1/2 white vinegar and distilled water ;) non-toxic and inexpensive. (I bought a cheap spray bottle at a store and use it. I use it to clean countertops; stove; microwave; bathrooms----everything!)
I use dish soap to get off the major dirt. Then I go over them again with Clorox wipes. I like the lavender scent because they leave the toys and the house smelling wonderful.
K.,
What is important is that you let them sit in the cleaning solution for a bit before rinsing and wiping.
You can use an all purpose cleaner that will work just as well without toxins. We offer a nicely scented all purpose cleaner that is better for us (green). Get in touch with me if you'd like more info.

tea tree is a natural disinfectant. Get some oil and maybe mix with water. You might have to do some research.
