Any suggestions for a dishwasher basket that will hold sippy cup straws and small parts? We have a munchkin basket....but the holes are very large and the parts came out during the wash cycle. Any suggestions are most appreciated!

So What Happened?

Thank you for all of your responses! I tried using the dishwasher basket but the tiny straws kept falling through....but, I think the First Years Mesh Bag is exactly what we need. Those pesky straws....!

The First Years makes a mesh folder for small parts and it's supposed to fit in one of the slots for plates in your dishwasher.

I bought it for use with our next baby who isn't here yet so I can't speak to it's usefulness, but I think it seems like a good idea.

I put the straws in the siliverware holder and I don't put any silverware in that part of the holder. I put the small parts in baket part of my nipple basket. Hope this helps.

We put ours in the basket where you put silverware (just not with the silverware).

I used to use those nylon bags. They have small holes and can be hung in the dishwasher.
Hope this helps.

Try an onion bag its plastic and you can use a chip clip to close it. Worked for me.

I feel safest hand washing my sippy cups. Mold can easily grow and there are cracks that the dishwasher can't reach. The hot dishwasher also wears out the tops (if they are soft) faster.
