My husband and I are thinking of taking our 3 1/2 year old son to Disney World in March. Does anyone have a travel agent they would recommend who is an expert on Disney vacations? All of the various options are a bit overwhelming and I need some help! Or, if you have any suggestions on navigating all the different promotions they have, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

My family and I use a woman we call Disney Diane. She is authorized Disney consultant and works exclusively for Disney. She has helped my family plan several Disney vacations and goes to Disney several times a year. Her number is ###-###-####. She is very informative. Hope this helps.

I think my sister went through Disney. She did research online, but when it came time to book, she actually called the customer service number and they walked her through everything. She was able to work out a great deal for her family of four that included 2 meals a day per person at certain disney locations, including lunch with the characters. Also you can combine your 2 meals for one of the bigger meals, like lunch or dinner at the castle and hotel. My sister ended up going for 6 days 5 nights and spend around $2000 for her family of 4 (not including airfare), but she got great rates on Southwest.

You might want to consider renting a house just outside of Disney. Its cheaper and you get a house with full kitchen and bedrooms. We rented about 15 minutes outside of Disney and it was nice to be able to take a break from all the excitement. We also had a chance to pick oranges and that was fun. We went over Thanksgiving vacation.

Hi - We booked ours with AAA. It was great... they provided multiple t-fers (to and from airport, etc.) they also had some special perks like priority seating and a private meeting with some of the 'cast'. We had a BLAST! One thing I would suggest is to have them price it for you with and with out air. I was able to find a better fare with booking the flight directly with the airline.
Have a fun time!!!!

Check out disboards and allears. Both websites were really helpful when we were planning our trip last summer. We took our 3 1/2 year old daughter and it was wonderful! Have fun :)

She will give you every detail you need to know and loves talking about Disney. Her name is Sue Opp email is ____@____.com or cell is ###-###-####. She lives in Pennsylvania and works for Far Cirners Travel Agency, specializing in Disney trips.

Find someone (a friend maybe) who has been to Disney World.
We took our daughter when she was 3 1/2 as well and had a lot of fun.

She is big for her age, so we made sure she was able to meet the height requirement for most rides prior to booking anything.

*Get a book about Disney World
*Read up and understand fast passes
*AAA has some good books and travel agents if you are a member.

Kirsten, a colleague of mine is an expert on Disney vacations with a family - so much so that he was selected to be a "Disney Mom" (yes - I did say that HE was selected - there are several dads on the panel). The Disney Moms are real people who are there to help with lots of questions and they provide independent advice (they don't get paid by Disney - were selected for their knowledge and ideas). Hi K.,
We just went to DW in August. I would highly recommend calling DW 800# because of all the options. They will include your meals, drinks & snacks in your package (expensive w/o DW meal plan)as well as give you fast pass for free which will allow you to do rides/activities w/o the long lines. Also, there's no additional charge for using DW services to book your trip. My husband is a Navy Vet so our vacation pacakage was 40% off ths price. We had a great time for a family of 4 for less than $550.

Have a blast!
