Disneyland's World of Color

I've been doing a lot of reading online about Disneyland's World of Color and I'm really undecided whether it's worth the hassle. I really don't want to spend my vacation waiting in a massive line and then running toward a FastPass machine in an attempt to get tickets. I also worry about getting stuck with a late showing (our kids are normally in bed by 8) or in the red zone with horrible views. The picnic meals don't look appealing at all (don't suit my diet and medical conditions, not to mention, our son is extremely picky), but I'd buy them and just toss them if it was worth it just to get the tickets.

Those who've seen the show, is it truly worth it? (Your kids are still talking about how amazing it was, it brought tears to your eyes it was so great, etc.) I'm thinking after a long day at Disneyland/California Adventure, we're really not going to be in the mood to deal with long lines, crowds and fighting for good standing room to see this show, if we're even lucky to get tickets. We're going in peak season, in June, if that matters.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm really leaning toward skipping it. Will probably do the light parade (if they still have that?) but I'm thinking this one just isn't worth it.

we just returned from disneyland tour with our 4 year old triplets last week. it was sooooo crowded (guess people were thinking like me to attend b4 the spring break)...

The world of color show was'nt of any interest to my kids atleast . we did not know about the fastpass so we could not get seated, they had an area for people like us without the fastpass & we tried to peak in thru that but after a while my kids wanted to go back.
I guess it depends on the age of the kids & interests.

Hi - It's really not worth it. We paid the extra and stood in a huge line forever and then got packed in standing room only to watch like sardines when people walking by could easily see the same thing we were watching. It is disney graphics set to music and lights with water shooting through the Disney scenes. It was nice - but not worth the hassle and my kids never mentioned it again.
Hope this helps!

I had the same attidude as you, skiped it, and never regretted it. Seeing the lines to stand in just to get the tickets, then again to watch it, is not for me. We are a go family at Disney. Infact, we don't even wait for fireworks or parades when we would be riding rides!

Watch it on youtube to see if you think it is worth it. It does look spectacular, but we will probably wait a few years when it is not so new and my kids are at ages where the time of night and waiting are not so hard to deal with.
