I have a ton of nieces and nephews (not to mention my own 3 year old) and I was looking to find out what "the kids today like". Is there anything i should try to get my hands on? I know last year it was the wii...

My 8 and 10 year old like Bakugans. They are also into iCarly. If they have game systems Lego Batman is awesome as is Lego Indiana Jones. They are family friendly, and are fun ofr all game playing levels :)
ask the parents what they would like. Do you really need to buy for them all? I know some families do a grab bag that way buy 1 really nice present for 1 kid.
My boys would love to have bakugon, but we can't find them anywhere...well we could but the shelves are always cleaned out. Those are huge this year. Good luck finding them if you decide that's the way you want to go.

My 5 yo son loves ANYTHING Speed Racer! The cars, the movie, etc. If you have a Speed Racer fan in your bunch--there are DVDs of the old Speed Racer tv series which would probably be a big hit!
I would look at the circulars that come in the newspaper on sunday. I would also go look around at the stores like target,toys r us and pay attention to the commercials on tv. another thing that may sound crazy is to see what they are selling on ebay. they may have on their what is supposed to be a popular toy.
