I see most say check the newspaper, but even better, go to the local animanl shelter. The vet there in K-town should know where they are and/or the closest facility. I was lucky enough to get a Shitz Su.
We have a 23 month old male Chihuahua Pure. He is a part of our family I might also mention. But then that should go without saying to most. We are a Military (Army) family & stationed in Germany, Mannhiem right now. Is there someone out there "close by" maybe within 20-25 miles max that has or knows of somebody that is/has a small dog too give away or for sale even? We will consider many different breeds. As long as they are as small as or no bigger then our Chihuahua (he is regular size). Oh & I guess I should add that we do want a female & we are willing to pay but please not to much, as it's to be a gift to our son whose animal died of cancer a few months ago.
Thank you anyone who can help me. It's greatly appreciated...

Go to the SPCA, I think Germany has an equivilent type organisation. There are lots of good dogs in Germany that would love to share your love.
Good luck!
Hi, look in the Sunday's edition of the Pet section of the Stars and Stripes Newspaper, if you don't have it, you can go online and read it electronically. There where many smalls dogs for sale. http://www.stripes.com/
Good Luck!
Have you checked in the Stars & Stripes? There are so many dogs for sale or free! I will keep my ears peeled if I hear aything, I am only about 30 minutes away from you in Darmstadt, so no way whatsoever from Mannheim.

Look in the stars and stripes europe. Also if you are on sullivan there is a vet's office behind the ACS building and they have an adoption place. But there are always pets in the paper.
I have seen a few smaller dogs in the KA. There are some pictures online at kaiserslauternamerican.com. Check it out there is always somthing different in there! We are also a long time military family (Air Force). So we are in K-Town. Good Luck! I will keep my ears and eyes open!
