I bought a hoover fusion vaccum cleaner from walmart almost a year ago although my husband disapprove of buying a vaccum cleaner more than $100.Anyway its dirt cup fills easily and filter gets clogged .today it wasnt picking up anything, instead it was spraying the dirt out from behind. However i checked the pipes were clean but there was no suction and it keeps going off and it starts after 10 or 20 mins.

What can I do next?

we don't have this type of vaccum, we have a shark, but once ours was clogged and it turns off after over heating, which is what yours is doing, you definitely have a clog, just have to find where it is. we have to clean out our filters by hand once a week, meaning wash them and let them air dry completely, which helps. When ours was severly clogged, over heating and not picking up, the clog was inside the vaccum, closer to where the dirt and what not is sucked into the vaccum, I am not sure how yours is set up but you could probably call the manufacturer if necessary. good luck!

I don't have that specific vaccum, but mine did the same thing that yours did....
When it turns itself off it normally means it is overheating. Check ALL the filters on the vaccum and clean them all. I thought I had been cleaning all of mine, but found one that I had never seen before. I think mine has a total of 4 filters. Hope this helps. M.

Ok I sell appliances and vacuums is one thing I sell and we will not sell any other vac but Oreck. They work great best vac I have ever bought and used and I would not buy anything else. If you want more info go to www.oreck.com and check them out. If you have any other questions just send me a message.

The only vacuum that actually works is the Dyson vacuum! Yes- it is expensive but worth every penny-- think of all the $100 vacuums that need replaced every year- the dyson doesn't!

I think that was the one we just had a few months back, it would overheat and burn the belts
