There is a music store at the strip mall on the corner of Walton and Adams in Rochester Hills. The store faces Walton. They give all kinds of lessons there. I don't know if they teach little ones, but they might know someone who does. I hope for you they can help. It's a great gift for your little one!
Kindermusik in Clarkston. From Waterford takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown. Not sure how long from Pontiac.
