Does Anyone Use Earth's Best Organic Formula?

I just saw a news report today that stated "Rocket Fuel" has been found in infant formula. In the study, they said they can not identify which brands were tested...it's the same story when they found melamine in some of the brands! So, I was thinking about switching to Earth's Best Organic Formula because I already use the organic rice for my 6mth old. So, do you or do you know anyone who uses organic formula? Did it have any different side effects? Any advice would be appreciated...breastfeeding is no longer an option.

So What Happened?

I went and bought Baby's Only organic formula, and he did not like the taste of it. But I am still determined to switch him to an organic formula within time! Thank yall so much for all of your help!!!

I used Simulac Organic with both of my kids - no problems. Also, I used Earth's Best baby food - cereal, fruit, veggies, etc. Both of my girls liked that brand. The only thing is that i didn't feel the brand had enough variety and would purchase Gerber organic to get a broader variety. I just used as much as I could, when I could organic. Good luck!

I saw this report too. I use the organic Similac. I haven't tried the Earth's Best formula but I use all the baby food and love it. I am also wondering if I should switch.

I've given my son Earth's Best Organic Formula (milk-based) ever since I stopped breast feeding him at 6 months, and he's now 10 months. It does not have sugar as a main ingredient and is made with organic milk, so I feel much better about giving it to him. I've compared the vitamin/mineral content to Similac Advance and Enfamil Lipil, and they're comparable. Earth's Best also contains DHA, so I don't see where you could go wrong giving it to your baby. I definitely recommend it!

I only used organic formula for my son. He is a pretty big kid, not sure how much the formula had to do with it versus genetics. I used Baby's Only by Nature's One- the website is here.... http://www.naturesone.com/index.php. They have a great program, where when you go through 24 cans, you get 2 free, so it's really 1 free can per every 12 you use.

Hi K.,

I used Earth's Best Organic as well as the Gerber's Organic for my son when he was 5 or 6 mo. old and on. He didn't have any side effects and really liked it. I recommend it!

What worries me is that the story I watched said it didn't affect milk based formula. Since they didn't give specifics (I even went to the FDA site and there were no specifics there either) I am wondering what it's in, organic or soy (which is what my daughter uses)? I think it's irresponsible to only give partial info. so that until the rest comes out we all have to worry. :(

I haven't used it yet because Sprout's is always out of the dairy kind (I don't want soy). Kroger makes an organic formula that's pretty inexpensive - a large can is $20. Similac organic has added sugar that your baby doesn't need.

I only used the Earth's Best Organic formula when my son turned 9 months. I'm glad I was able to BF until then because man it's expensive! But it was the only one with ingredients that I trusted and I hated how Similac has sugar as a main ingredient, that didn't seem right. The Earth's Best seemed closest to breastmilk when I compared the ingredients and I liked how it didn't contain sugar as a main ingredient. I tasted it and it wasn't that bad, somewhat sweet like breastmilk. I have smelled other people's kids' formula and could not give that to my baby, the Earth's Best one smells good for formula...HTH!
