Might be a little to much info. Tomorrow i will be 4 months pregnant and over the weekend i was helping my grandparents move in there house and only lifting 10lb boxes and less. I first noticed pain when i used my foot to try and kick a box over a little bit and the box was heavy and didnt move and i felt this sharp pain in my vagina. So i went straight to the bathroom to make sure i didnt bleed or anything and i didnt. Then i was fine. Then i was walking up and down stairs for 2 days on sat. and sunday. And monday evening i started to notice this horrible pain right were your pubic hair grows and where my pants sit on my waist. It hurts when i move and hard for me to walk. Im thinking i pulled a muscle or worked a muscle since i dont usually walk up stairs. What do you ladies think or have you had this before? if the pain doesnt go away in a few days then i will call my doctor. thanks.

What can I do next?

Sounds like round ligament pain to me.

Trust me, if you pulled a muscle in that area, you'd have a hard time standing upright.

Your joints are soft, which means that your pelvis can shift in and out of position quite easily. So you can feel pain in your actual crotch (feels like a burning pain) from time to time.

Otherwise, you'll feel round ligament pain, which is just a normal part of stress and strain on your growing belly. Feels like a really sore muscle. Take a rest, or actually lift your belly up with your hands, and it should go away fairly quickly. It'll come and go.

I've had that happen before. Usually it will go away as quickly as it came. Wear loose pants (sweats) for awhile and just rest.
Pregnancy does crazy stuff to our bodies. Do see your doc if it persists more than a few days. In the meantime try a heating pad and ice pack rotation.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Your body's going through some changes, and it will take you a while to get used to your new body.
I'm concerned that you are not getting enough exercise. NO stairs at all? Where do your grandparents live? If they can do it, so can you. Get moving because you will regret it the day you go into labor. Trust me. Please take daily walks to keep your body strong and healthy.

Does it feel like you're getting stabbed with an ice pick in the area? If so, just like others have said it is round ligament pain! The round ligaments hold the uterus in place. Under normal circumstances they don't see a lot of action but now that your uterus is growing up and expanding, the ligaments are feeling a bit of stress and strain. Totally normal but run it by your OB for your own peace of mind.
