My dog likes watching other DOGS on TV. It's absolutely hilarious! Can you guess that his favorite show is The Dog Whisperer? ;)

Our cat on occasion will sit and watch tv.
He does not think he is a cat though.
He takes a bath with my youngest boy and he lays on his back like a playboy.
He will also walk around the house saying hello.... it is clear as a bell.
Those that have heard it are shocked.

My dog's "TV" is the dining room window. :)

She has zero interest in the TV, unless someone on TV happens to ring a doorbell.... then she still isn't interested in the TV---only the front door of our house, because she is convinced that someone MUST be out there!

Mine used to howl (loudly) whenever there was any singing on tv.

My dog would watch TV 24/7 if we let her. We usually block her off from the TV because she crashes into it trying to go play.

If other dogs run across the screen, she tries to go with them.

She was the smarter of our two dogs!

My dog doesn't seem to have any interest in tv. He'd rather spend his free time napping in his dog bed.

My cat does. It's so funny to watch her head go back and forth with the action.

My Shar Pei LOVED Westerns or anything with horses. A close second for her was anything on Animal Planet. She's the only dog I've had with such an interest in TV.

YES, have you ever seen a 125# bull mastiff charge a 50in flat screen? I am terrified she will knock it over. she likes to "chase" all 4 legged animals and birds. it was funny with the old boob tube but not with this t.v.

Our older Golden had no interest in TV, didn't even seem to SEE the images.

However, the younger Golden is ALWAYS watching it. Especially when there's animals on it! We have a Golden Retriever calender in the kitchen, when there's a new month, she NOTICES and sniffs it all around for a couple days.

Our deaf dog loves it. We even turn our tv toward his crate if we are going out for a few hours during the day. As for what he prefers it varies. There are times I swear he prefers commercials over shows and other times he prefers shows like Buffy, Desperate Housewives, Survivor and some of the shows we regularly watch. He ignores sports related shows/games.
Our deaf cat that we recently lost loved watching the news. Our other cats could careless about the tv. Our newest puppy likes watching animal shows.

We used to have a dog and he LOVED watching animal planet. He would whimper and whine anytime he could see an animal. He also was pretty fond of American Idol. HA!
