CUMAC-ECHO in Paterson, NJ -- they're a thrift store, but with other ministries like helping battered women get set up for a new life. Google them for their website.

The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield operates The Jumble Store at 110 Walnut St. in Cranford. They would gladly take your donations. Also, the Westfield Service League has a store on Elmer St. in Westfield, and the Center for Hope Hospice has a store on Prospect St. in Westfield. All would be greatful for your donation. The American Red Cross, located on Elm St. in Westfield, also accepts clothing.

I know that La Leche League is having a yard sale to benefit their organization on June 22nd and are accepting donations. You can always call them.

Not sure where you live.. but any Salvation Army takes clothes just look in your local phone book or on the internet.. there is one in Newark, Greenbrook and many other places. They take the clothes.. you get a tax write off, they sell them very cheap.. like pants for $3. and shirts for 1 or 2 dollars.. and the money they make goes to help others in needs.. especially children around the holidays. Or any thrift shop takes used clothing too.. to sell at a very affordable price.. good luck... ps my name is A. T. and then H.

A.,
I brought a truckload of maternity clothes to our local red cross in Madison. I tossed them all in a bin in the driveway and the office gave me a tax receipt. If you schedule a pick-up, they'll come right to your door, but you may have to wait a couple of weeks.
