We practice a VERY delayed vax schedule and have never had any issues with our ped about it....
I just read his book and was wondering if any moms have used his suggested vaccination schedule and how it was received by your pediatrician. I am due with my second boy in a couple weeks and although we had no vaccination problems with the first, I'm considering using his schedule.

I need to get the book, but I would LOVE to have a reduced vaccination schedule, especially being pregnant with a boy. I am definately going to talk to my doctor about spacing them out.
Good luck to you!

I was just wondering what this book is all about and why is it about spacing the vaccines? Is it because of Autism scares?? The reason I ask is because my son is 14 months old and still needs his 12 month old shots...and I have no appointment set already because I am scared to death to have this done. My other two kids are 13yrs and 11yrs and I never had any thoughts of anything going bad and this time I do. I don't know if its because I am older and wiser or if it has become a serious problem??
thanks

I just ordered this book off Amazon. I am 17 weeks preganant with #3 right now. My #2 developed Autism after his MMR & flu shot. (he had 4 vaccinations that day) I am planning on comparing the Dr. Sears Schedule with the "What your doctor may not tell you about Vaccines" scedule. I am assuming they are very spread out. We are considering not doing any vaccinations until after age 2. I am so scared that my #3 will get autism from the shots too. My Pediatrician understands my dilema and has explained that she will be very patient with us when the time comes.
Good luck to you and all other moms facing this issue in the future. My only advice is do your homework and don't belive everything the doctor tells you!
I haven't read it yet but heard that if you are only going to read one book about vaccines, that's the one to read. I also have a boy and want to be a lot more careful this time around than I was with my daughter. I think most Peds now are pretty understanding and if not, find a new one.
