I am currently looking for a childcare facility or someone that is willing to provide childcare in my home starting at 430am to 730am. I live in west Plano and have a sweet eight yr old daughter. I have tried care.com and I am not getting the response I thought I would. I need someone reailable and has transportation . Does anyone know where I can go to find someone. Or a facility that is open the early?

What can I do next?

What do the other people you work with do? They may have some resources you don't know about. I'd post something to them. Other than that I think asking everyone you know if they'd be willing to do this for you is the best way to find someone. Have you checked with the licensing agency to get a complete list of all child care providers in your area? There may be some on that list you haven't spoken to.

I found my morning sitter on SitterCity.com. When I put my ad up for a morning sitter, I didn't get any responses...well only ones from lady's who did in-home care at their house, but I wanted someone to come to me. So I started emailing everyone on there and found our girl. She did it last year and is back this year. She is AMAZING with my kids and always punctual, never missed a single day of work!!

But, 430 is a lot earlier than 615. There are some day-care places that do overnights, and might be willing to be up that early. I know none of my sitters would.

I'd ask coworkers, friends, family, church, etc to see if you can find someone who is willing to help.

Good luck!

430 is beyond early, i have never heard of anyone needing daycare at that time. Is there anyway that you can work from home until daycare hrs?

Do you belong to a church? I might try asking the pastor or parish secretary if they know any SAHM's, college students or retirees that might need the extra income. You could even just call churches in your area, as they get asked this question all the time (I worked at a church for 7 years).

You could also call your child's school. I was able to obtain a list of aftercare providers from our school, since they do not provide before or aftercare.

Finally, have you talked to any of your neighbors? We live in a small community, so it might actually be easier for us, but I got recommendations from neighbors, parishioners and the school. Apparently our daycare center is very well respected.

Good luck! I found this to be a very overwhelming task at first, but as I began making phone calls I really began to relax.
