Try ginger. Ginger ale, gingerbread cookies, ginger snap cookies. it was the only thing that settled my stomach.
Good luck!

Any advise on how to ease morning sickness? I've tried tea, pressure points, eating before I wake, etc. Any suggestions welcome!

Raw pumpkin seeds. High protien helps. I know it sounds gross but it works. By gingered candy and eat tiny bits. Ginger is a strong medicine as well as spice. You could drink verners ginger ale it is mild. Eat small meals it will help.
I haven't read through all the responses, so I apologize if I'm repeating someone else's comment. Anyway - sparkling water or club soda helped me...and eating something every 60 - 90 minutes.
Anything ginger or peppermint (like those little candies - but make sure they have peppermint oil in them.)
Congrats and hope this passes soon!
I had terrible morning(all day) sickness but I started taking Ginger Pills first thing in the morning. You can get them at any GNC or sometimes I found them at Walmart. I Don't like the flavor of ginger and these worked great!! I could even tell when I had forgotten and then I would take one and withing a half hour I would be feeling better again.
Good Luck!
PROTEIN!!! My midwife told me to eat something high in protein right before bed and then to have crackers or something to eat next to the bed. I would eat cheese or yogurt before bed and then eat a few crackers before getting out of bed in the morning. It did help, but I still got sick sometimes.
I think every woman has to find her own magic. Crackers and such never worked for me. Fortunately the only child I had major sickness with was the first. The second was just a little woosey from time to time and that was because I let myself get hungry. And I don't think I ever got sick with the last one.
But with the first I tried ginger snaps, crackers, eating small meals all day, shredded mini wheats, tea, bread, and the list goes on....until one day my husband bought a seedless watermelon and when I tried some of that ice cold from the fridge my sickness eased up. So for half my pregnancy I ate an entire watermelon each week. My hubby better come home with a watermelon on Fridays or he wasn't allowed in the house. :)
He would cut it up for me into bite size chunks and then put it in tupperware. I grabbed a bowl and snacked on a few bites every time I got sick to my stomach. About a half a cup and I was good for about an hour. That was my magic.
i have heard sucking on a lemon wedge, sorry if someone already suggested it, i haven't read the responses :)
I did not have time to rrad al the posts so someone may have mentioned this before but Ginger Pills were the only thing that worked with my daughter. I threw up all the time before that. You can find them in the vitamin section of Walgreens they read as a digestive aide. It worked really well ith my first one but i did not like the smell of the pills withthe second. Every kid is different but they really saved my life the first time.
I had 3 solid months of almost 24/7 morning sickness and tried just about everything! The thing that finally worked for me was a suggestion from a nurse friend of mine. She suggested eating protein. Sounds crazy in a sense, but it worked...I could barely keep water down, and saltines didn't help at all, but peanut butter, ham, pizza, and cheeseburgers did the trick! She also suggested keeping a peanut butter sandwich on my nightstand and eating a couple bites whenever I woke up during the night ~ to help keep my blood sugar levels somewhat even. Hope this helps ~ good luck! (Oh, and Sprite was also a lifesaver for me ~ I drank it constantly!)
Hi
when i had my kids 25 years ago had terrible morning sickeness. The first pregnancy suffered and the 2nd one was told about b6 vitamin supplement. Was a miracle. Still felt some nausea but totally stopped the vomiting. Ask your ok dr first but should be fine. Its a deficiency we must have when pregnant.
Ice chips really help. I used to eat a cup before getting out of bed and would have more throughout the day. I have also tried candied ginger (you can find it in the baking aisle); it tastes like candy, but it does get a bit overwhelming after eating half a can. :) And Welch's makes a great no sugar fruit popsicle that is easy on your stomach. Chicken broth with french bread made a decent lunch, and an apple or a clif bar was my favorite breakfast.
Good Luck! Both of my pregnancies were accompanied with horrible morning sickness, so I completely understand. Just remember that this will pass and eventually you will enjoy your pregnancy! :)
Trader Joe's makes Ginger chews that can help. You can also take Ginger pills. I had to nibble all day (although I felt sick - it seemed to help).
Good Luck - hopefully it will end soon ;-)
I had great luck with acupuncture. I only needed to go three times and I think it helped. I had been nauseous for about a week and had Chinese for dinner after my first treatment! I went to Pull Down the Moon in Naperville.
Good Luck--congratulations on your pregnancy!
Try hard lemon candy-the big lemon shaped ones that are dusted in sugar and sold in those clear hanging bags. I think they sell them at CVS/Walgreens. It was the only thing that worked for me. I sucked on them all the time my first trimester. Just curious...is your first a boy and are you having a girl now? My morning sickness was so much worse with my daughter! Good luck and feel better!
Hi A.,
I had great success with ginger products. You can make or buy the tea, gingerale, mints. It's was cheap effective date for my discomfort.

Hi A.,
Congrats on your pregnancy!! And my condolences on your morning sickness! :-) I'm currently in the same boat and the tricks that I tried when I was pregnant with my son don't seem to fit the bill now (whoever said no two pregnancies are alike wasn't joking! ;-).
What seems to be working for me this time around is 7UP. Small and frequent sips seem to keep the nausea at bay (its still there, but it's definitely more manageable - especially when I'm at work). I've also tried nibbling on dry, bland things like cheese and my son's animal crackers, that seems to help a bit too.
Keep trying and I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck with everything!

The only thing that worked for me was Wintergreen Tic Tacs. I don't know why and I don't know anyone else that this has worked for, but it's sure worth a try!!
I know this may sound silly but I only had morning sickness with one child and I ate alot of crackers during that pregnancy. I just kept all different kinds of crackers around and snacked on them at all times. My favorite was butter and crackers. Another thing I had was peanut butter and grahm crackers. Loved it!
Good luck to you and congrats.
I had terrible morning sickness until just over 18 weeks with my current pregnancy.
What helped me is Propel flavored water, and Vitamin water (the Revive, fruit punch flavor). I had to have one of these drinks by my bedside at night. I would sip on it after I got up for my nightly trips to the bathroom :) When I woke up I'd sit in bed for a few minutes, drink my flavored water and wait. Some days it worked, others it didn't.
I also noticed if I blew my nose first thing when I woke up, that really helped. Extra mucus caused me to gag which in turn activated the morning sickness, so if I cleared it I might not be sick.
Just a tip: save your grocery bags and keep them at your bedside. They help with tissue trash as well as if you can't make it to the bathroom.
Good luck! I hope the morning sickness eases soon!
Dried papaya helped me.
Hi A.,
Congratulations on your pregnancy! One thing that really helped me both times was anything sour like Lemonhead candies or those Preggie Pops. Lemonade was great ice-cold. I also used to eat a few saltines before getting out of bed. I work out a lot and continue to do so through my pregnancies and found that even a nice easy walk first thing in the morning seemed to push off the morning sickness at least for a little while. Hope this helps! Best of luck!
Oh my gosh - my heart goes out to you!!! I am 14 weeks and JUST started to feel better. I still feel a little nausea in the morning but NOTHING compared to what it was. I too tried everything you mentioned. The only thing that kind of worked for me was the "Sea-Bands" or motion sickness bands - I would sleep with them and shower with them on too! Sorry I don't really have any other advice, but I just wanted to say that I'm praying that it goes away soon for you! I know how hard that was and my heart broke when I read your post! Good luck and I hope you start feeling better real soon!
Shaklee has a wonderful natural product called *Soothing Stomach Complex*--works great for morning sickness and just general stomach upset. I even give it to my kids when they have a tummyache.
Sucking on sour candy was the only thing that consistently helped me. I bought the Preggie Pop Drops through Motherhood.com and they worked great: http://www.motherhood.com/maternity/nutrition.asp But, I think sour candy in general would do the trick!
Good luck- it does get better! :)
I found that the only thing that helped me was to eat something (anything - it didn't seem to matter what) every hour or so. If my stomach got anywhere near empty, things were much worse for me.
The best thing I found was Fennel Seeds. Before I got out of bed in the morning, I took about 1tsp in my hand and ate it. The rest of the day was morning sickness free. Anytime, I felt it creep up later, I would take some more. It worked like a charm. My Naturopath told me about it. Good Luck! Maria
Sounds really weird but grapefruit juice. I know it sounds harsh on the belly but little sips worked wonders for me. Later a Dr told me he found other moms responded well to it too. Give it a try. Just some little sips...Hope it helps.
I ate saltines with ginger ale - together. It worked like magic for me.
I found REAL licorice helped.
Hi, A.. I've never tried this myself, but I've heard that you can try the bracelets that some people use on cruises for seasickness. I bet they might have them at your pharmacy. Good luck!
Talk to your dr. mine called out a pill that I can take every eight hours as needed and it works like a charm. I did not think my morning sickness was that bad for my first but I wish I would have taken the pills. This time around I'm so glad I don't feel queezy all the time.
Lay on your right side... This works for anyone it worked for my whole family good luck let me know ____@____.com
I am not sure if you tried crackers. Also ginger tea helps a lot with nausea.
Nibble on crystallized ginger. It soothes the stomach and tastes good too.
Whe I was pregnant and having problems with morning sickness I personally hated eating crackers first thing in the morning when my mouth was all dry anyway. Then I met a mom of 3 who suggested eating a little protein right before bed. I was kind of off meat, so I had about 1 ounce of cheese every night. If I forgot, I threw up the next morning, but 99% of the times I remembered it was successful. Protein is the slowest kind of food to digest, plus your digestive system slows when you sleep, so my stomach wasn't as empty in the morning with this trick :O) Hope this helps you as much as it did me!
Have you tried Preggie Pops? I used them with my daughter and they did help. I got them at the Motherhood store. Good luck.
HI! I can sympathize! Lemonade worked for me - someone told me that salty (like Pringles) and sour eases an upset stomach? The Pringles didn't work as well but I kept a water bottle full of lemonade with me at all times! Good luck!
I had morning sickness 24/7 the first trimester (it does get better I promise). My doctor recommended smelling a lemon, and amazingly it helped. Granted this only helped as you inhaled the smell, but sometimes just sitting there for a few minutes doing that was a welcome break from the sickness. The other thing that really helped was sipping caffeine free coke. I am not a pop drinker so if I drank more than 1 sometimes I would get a sugar headache, but this was a better trade off than the constant sick feeling. Good luck and congratulations.
It's works for me!
take one tablespoon of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon and mixed it together. 15 to 30 minutes before each meal.
Hi A., I may have some natural remedies or at least natural things that can help reduce the affects you are having. Here is my e-mail address if you are interested. I will look into this with a book I have and if you would like to know natural ways I will let you know ____@____.com
GINGER!!!!!!! It is the best cure for morning sickness, bar none. Ginger has a natural ability to ease nausea and has been tested on motion sickness as well. Get it in whatever form you can - ginger snaps, ginger bread, even pickled ginger (the same kind that is used as a sushi accompaniment).
I used to keep a box of ginger snaps by my bedside and munch a few before getting out of bed. This helped a lot. Also, keep water by your bed and drink a glass before you get up. Part of why we feel so much worse in the morning is because we are somewhat dehydrated.
Hope this helps! And congrats on your pending arrival!!
I liked papaya enzyme extract. (it's a supplement - chewable tablets.) Also nice later in pregnancy for heartburn.
protein- carry nuts with you all the time.
keep snacks in the car and eat a little something every half or full hour.
sometimes when I ws so sick I couldn't bear it but couldn't throw up I'd deliberately eat something acidic like kiwi to make myself throw up.
Ginger helped me too, but make sure whatever you get has *real* ginger in it (many "ginger-ales" don't, but the ones from Whole Foods do.) I kept candied ginger nearby too.
