East Valley Pediatric Urgent Care

We recently took my daughter into Good Night Pediatrics over the weekend on Higley/Baseline in Mesa. I am wondering if anyone knows of a different place we could take the kids when the doctor office is not open, like on weekends and at night. We live in northeast Mesa. Thank you!

There is a pediatric urgent care in the Kohl's shopping center on Stapley and Baseline - I'm sorry, I can't think of the name right now. We've been there a few times and the staff has been great.

Phoenix Childrens Hospital has a sattelite office and Urgent Care on Southern just west of Higley. We have taken our son there a few times and they give incredible care! I do not think they are 24 hours but are open 7 days a week for walk in urgent care and I am pretty sure it is late hours.

Actually East Valley Pediatrics (that's their name, coincidentally) has an "after hours" clinic on Higley and Southern that I take my children to frequently. It's the same set-up as a normal doctor's office (which means a normal co-pay on your insurance) but they're open nights and weekends. It's a little tricky to get an appt, though, as they tend to fill up fast. Your best bet is to call right at 5PM, which is when they begin taking appts for the evening. And likewise at 8AM on Sat-Sun (or maybe 9, I'm not positive). Anyhow, call early and you should have no problems getting in. You're lucky, actually, since you live so close. I have to haul mine in all the way from Queen Creek, lol.

I've been with East Valley Peds since my son was born 5 years ago and have been very happy with the doctor we've regularly seen. It's quite a large practice with multiple valley locations and many of them take turns at the night clinic...so you never really know who you're going to get. But I've never had a bad experience and there's nothing better than getting an experienced Ped to look at your child night, day or weekend.

Sun Valley Pediatric Urgent Care on Chandler & McClintock is the absolute BEST pediatric urgent care! The doctor there is fantastic...so knowledgeable and takes time to explain everything to parents. I use my regular pediatrician for wellness visits, but only use Sun Valley Pediatric when my baby girl is sick. We started this after her case with RSV. My pediatrician had us on breathing treatments and amoxicillan (ear infection) for a week with no improvement. I took her to Sun Valley after a great first experience and he changed her to a new antibiotic (after explaining how outdated amoxicillan is and the benefits of other antibiotics) and changed her breathing treatments (and even took the time to draw a picture of the lungs on a piece of paper to show why the treatment would work best). It was only 8 hours later and she was already 80% better. So pleased! Good luck.
